Restaurantji's Redding guide: Where to find the ultimate Mexican flavors. Try the best Birria Tacos, Quesabirria, Quesadilla, and more in town.
“Best Mexican food in Redding. The staff are always kind. Sometimes, depending on what you get, it feels a little pricey, but for authentic food, it's worthwhile. It might be cheaper elsewhere but then the food elsewhere will taste cheaper too. Overall, this place goes out of their way to make you want to come back again and again.“
“Delicious food. Frustrating take-out experience.Called in an order for sausage and bacon breakfast burrito, carnitas street taco, carne asada street taco, and chips and salsa from a gas station to save time getting on the road. Arrived to find they hadn't even started our order. They had only two other guests visible so they didn't appear busy.Next I found that they up charged us $3.50 for bacon and didn't say anything about it on the phone. After a long wait she bagged up our stuff. I asked for green and red salsa for the burrito and tacos not knowing that "chips and salsa" didn't include any salsa. ??♂️I hefted our ten pound sack of Mexican of food to the car, unhappy about the high price of bacon and street tacos ($4.75!). I was soon to be more unhappy as there was no salsa packed with in "chips and salsa" container... ?Then we discovered the SIZE of the tacos and burrito... ? and the taste... ???. I'm mixed on this experience. I was literally angry... and then elated... and then in a food coma. I'm writing this a day later and wishing I had another carnitas taco to eat. ??♂️Great tasting food in bountiful quantity! Be prepared to pay. And make sure to ask for lots of extra salsa. The green is soo tasty!“
“Great customer service. As soon as we sat down we received waters, chip and salsa! Without even asking our waiter brought us another dish of salsa. Our food arrived piping hot!!! Our meals were excellent tasting. When finished we received two freshly cooked tortilla chips covered in cinnamon sugar, dollop of whipped cream and strawberry jam. Super happy with Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant.“
“Delightful mom and pop restaurant. Quiet, atmospheric with quick service and small two person tables. The food is amazing with homemade chips and salsa and fresh sides with every dish. 10/10 recommend. But if you’re a gringo ask them to add a little spice to an otherwise delicious meal.“
“This place is hands down the best taco truck you will get food at! Not only is the food amazing but so if the customer service. This place deserves 10 stars! Not only can you get your daily taco craving but they offer catering. We used them for my husband's dads celebration of life and I had everyone ask where we got the food! You won't be disappointed!“
“We went to Luna's for the first time...I've seen mixed reviews and we don't get out often but figured it was about time to give them a try. We had a great experience! I believe Randy was our server, he was very nice and very attentive. It seemed like everyone was! The food was really good and fresh, and they had great cocktail options! Will definitely go again.“
“Place looks small but don't let it full you the food is definitely more than on point, great prices food has amazing flavor and the customer service is very top tier, will definitely be eating here a lot more times and recommending this place for “
“Fun decor...a feast for the eyes. If you love salsa and hot sauce options, this is the place for you. Prices were reasonable. Containers are plastic...would be willing to spend a little extra for eco friendly serving and take out containers.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian burrito bowl.“
“I got the shrimp Diabla tacos and my wife got the Chili Relleno a la crema. Both were FANTASTIC! Oh and if you are an horchata fan, this place is for you!SUPER friendly staff, awesome space, a must stop for anyone passing through redding and looking for dinner.“
“Ended our week long camping trip here, with a delicious home cooked meal! I had the taco salad, my hubby had the chile relleno dish. Delicious food, friendly staff, great service and relaxing atmosphere! We highly recommend this delightful place!“
“El Zarape was really good. You order your food at the counter like a fast food place, then sit down and they bring it to you. The customer service was amazing. They brought me the green sauce to try, it was really good. I got tacos and my wife got a breakfast burrito.“
“I get charged extra for using their gift card. I used a $15.00 gift card and there was a fee of $0.58 for using the card. This is so wrong.I am sure the person that gave me the gift card had no idea.Well right after I finish typing all this but before I hit enter staff knows I was doing a review and so they decided to offer me a refund of the 58 cents and said they would tell their boss.Maybe it's training issue, or it's a systemic issue. My props to the staff for making it right.“
“From the moment you walk through the door, you know… THIS IS GUNNA BE GOOD! The smell hits you in the face like a chimichanga train from delicious town. The service was fantastic.. The food… Flavorful and fantastic. The atmosphere was eclectic and fun. Total south coastal mexican vibe. The margaritas were tastey and refreshing. Salsa was full of spice and hit the spot with the heat level.. Somewhere between, just enough and yeah baby this has some great kick… Pricing was affordable and held it’s value with the quality of the food…. This spot is a MUST visit again for great eats…“
“Can't go wrong getting a burrito from the bandito. Staff are usually very friendly and willing to store up a conversation if it isn't too busy. Ngl It's a bit strange to see non-hispanic employees working in a mexican themed restaurant with banda playing over the speakers. Regardless, will be heading back soon for another carne asada burrito.“
“The food is absolutely DELICIOUS and AMAZING! The best in town!! Service is warm, kind and friendly.Parking: It is a tiny place. We have always been able to park, but it could be hard when place is extra busy.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes. Easy. One level. Eating inside or out in covered enclosed patio!“
“I cannot begin to describe how incredible the staff was of them knew who I was and what my order was. Every time I arrived, they got right to work on my burrito and smiled at me every time they boosted my day. This place is a 10 out of 10. I recommend this location of Burrito Bandito on Hartnell for their service and delicious food.“
“Great restaurant if your craving tasty Mexican food. Friendly staff, cute decor and very good food. Fajitas are grilled and flavorful. The chips and salsa and bean dip were awesome starters. Chicken Caesar was ok. They even gave us a complimentary dessert which was really good. Recommend to stop by if you’re in the area.“
“Just got done eating here, and I have to say I’m very impressed! Their chicken tacos were flavorful, they include some grilled veggies with your order, everything was delicious and you get your money’s worth! I have hired them do cater a Celebration of Life and I know the food will be amazing! Thank you ?“
“This place is great the wife and I have had tacos 2 times from their now and they have been amazing our favorite is the fish taco.. it's wonderful! El pastor and carnitas are really good to. Fresh and delicious and they have a drive through it's perfect. Haven't had anything but tacos or I'd give it 5 stars.“
“Hands down the best place for authentic Mexican Cuisine! Family run business. Hard working, honest people. We love this place and the entire family and crew! From my Tex-Mex roots to San Diego food scene, Los Gordos takes me back home to those special memories of food and family! Highly recommend! We go frequently!“
“The food at Elenis’s food truck is delicious, fresh and served with warmth and friendliness. A family run business that make you feel like family. Their food is authentic and tasty and the price is right. Easy to find with lots of parking.Vegetarian options: They can make just about any dish vegetarian. Replace the meat for beans.Kid-friendliness: It’s a family run business with family and kids being priority one!Parking: Parking is great!“
“No frills. Great food. Good prices. Generous portions. Good people. Best Mexican food in Redding, and best prices. Seniors or moderate eaters can split an order and be satisfied. We each had the 3 taco special the other day, and took enough home for another meal. I had fish tacos, and there was a nice chunk of fish in them. Not a fancy place, but we highly recommend. The pictures show the 3 taco specials minus 1 taco.“
“Amanda was our waitress and she was simply amazing. She was kind, and even recommended some cool spots for us tourists! The food was incredible. I had the Enchiladas Rancheros and the chicken was super juicy. My boyfriend had the Pork Chile Verde and the pork was so fresh and flavorful. Will DEFINITELY be returning and requesting Amanda!! :)“
“The food is amazing! I have only tried two items because they are so good I haven't been adventurous enough to sample more. The dining room is cozy. It is fairly small but does not feel cramped. Service is amazing. Servers checked on us a couple times but didn't hover too much. If you need something it is easy to get someone's attention.Parking: There is enough parking for the size of the dining room. It might be small for larger pickups though. My minivan was easy to maneuver.“
“Came here for lunch and got a bean and cheese burrito with sour cream and salsa and it was the best burrito I've had in a long time. The staff was super friendly upon me entering so that was nice. The only problem I had was the girl did not have on gloves when preparing the burrito so I was a little nervous to actually eat the burrito lol other than that everything was really delicious.“
“Really enjoyed dining here with friends and family. Staff is friendly and very attentive without being overly so, food was awesome (nobody in a party of 5 had anything negative to say about their choice from the menu) and portions generous! It wasn't my turn to buy so I don't know the exact prices but I believe my dinner came out to be around $30 which would probably cover most items on the menu. If you like Mexican food I highly recommend this place!“
“Best Mexican food in town unfortunately they are moving to AndersonDietary restrictions: I was able to get chicken since I couldn't have Red meat at the time. And no Cheese because I wasn't supposed to be eating dairy. And it still tasted really good. My wife can't have gluten and shes able to eat pretty much everything other than things with flour tortillasWheelchair accessibility: All one Level. No steps“
