It’s our first time to explore the Japanese food around this area and saw the review of this place.Have to say, the food and service impressed us. We arrived around 2 which there was almost no one during new year eve, and the staff is very warm to bring us water first without asking.The menu is all very tempting, and we decided to order 3 rolls and 2 appetizers.The fish is fresh and the rolls are flavorful!The restaurant is very clean and wide as well.Strong recommendation on this spot!

My husband and I are Japanese.I grew up on the ocean side of Japan and usually don't try sushi in the US because I compare it to authentic Japanese sushi, but we happened to be in the neighborhood on Christmas Day and went in. It was a wonderful experience ☺.Having never had a California style sushi roll, we ordered the deep fried California roll, lobster tempura roll, tempura, and a large bottle of Asahi beer.The deep fried California roll was very tasty! Deep frying sushi in Japan is usually an unthinkable idea, but the crispy batter and moist rice were a perfect match and very tasty. It went well with beer. The tempura was also crispy and I could even eat the tail of the shrimp.There was also a large pile of gari, which was perfect for refreshing the palate ✨.The selection of Japanese beers, including Asahi, Kirin, and Sapporo, was very reasonably priced for someone like me who drinks a lot.I was very happy to find draft beer for 6$ and large bottles for 9$!I did not try the nigiri, so I cannot give an authentic sushi review, but next time I will try something else on the menu ◎.I am looking forward to my next visit because there is so much to choose from on the menu.The staff was friendly, the food was delicious and reasonably priced, and I loved it!I will come back again! Futomaki roll is a must. As a meat eater myself… that is my favorite roll. They do it so well!! Even tho it’s just veggies!!

Delicious chicken and shrimp hibachi. The rainbow roll was huge and fantastic! I had it all delivered by UberEats and delivery was fast! I'm in from out of town and want sure what to order, glad I chose Ahi Sushi... Prices were a little higher than expected, but the quality left me feeling like I wasn't cheated. Would definitely order again!

Yummy, delicious & affordable! I work nearby and finally tried this place. I purchased shrimp fried rice & tempura sushi. Trust me I WILL BE BACK. Please try this family business, I love hole in the wall restaurants that never disappoint. Reminds me of back home

Food was good. The lunch specials were a great deal. Service was great as well. They did forget one of our rolls; however, we weren't too bothered because the servings seemed more than a typical sushi place; it was removed from our check. We expressed that it was ok. Still the sushi chef presented us the roll wrapped up to go. We were not expecting it at all. It was a nice gesture. We would definitely come back if we're in the area.
Good food and staff.Everything about the food here and the staff was really nice. Our server was helpful and not overbearing with some charisma, and the food was as good as or better than pretty much any other sushi place we would go to.The location can feel more like... cheap glamour. It's a little raggedy outside, and while that's not their fault, it does paint some of the picture there. Parking can be tough depending on the hour and you may walk from over towards downtown Redwood City. And lastly, the interior feels... like it's made from balsa and leftover diner furniture... and the trademark diner carpet that's easy to vacuum with one of those manual vacuum cleaners, you know what I mean? It's clean, let there be no doubt, but it feels... from the early 2000s with just a nicer TV.All in all, this place was great. If they get rid of that tacky awning out front and spiff up their furniture a bit, they could have a real good thing going as Redwood City continues to grow up.

The staff here are cordial and attentive. And the portions are huge for how much we are used to paying in SF!! When we went only two tables were taken in the large space so it was quiet. What they lack in some food authenticity they make up for in a quiet and friendly atmosphere. Very family friendly especially for a Saturday lunch. We got a couple rolls, karaage and the sushi -sashimi combo... which I could not finish because the sashimi pieces were very big (forgot to take a pic).

Very disappointed, I order takeout trough Uber eats and they send half of my order. When I reported I’m Uber eats they just repay for one meal but I still had to pay for taxes, shipping and taxes like my order was complete. Also, the one roll I got wasn’t very good. Very bad cut.
