Chocolate Old Fashioned donuts are my go to choice. Donut King in Redwood City is my new place. I usually have to travel 40 minutes for the creamy and pure chocolate flavor I want. This flavor after speaking with the owner is awesome. Made fresh like your Grandmother who makes the BEST Milk Chocolate Cookie.
Donut King is in a small plaza. There is a decent amount of parking in the front.The guy at the counter was super friendly! I asked for a glazed donut and he said they have fresh ones in the back so he got me that one which was really nice of him to do that. I also got a French cruller. In the bag he tossed in a few glazed donut holes which was awesome. They were warm and I thought tasted very fluffy. First visit this morning. Giving myself thanks for the adventure: Staff Nicole was refreshingly friendly and reflected her taste for combining the Hawaiian hazelnut and vanilla bean flavored coffees. Great idea! When she described the crispy edges of the old fashioned style donut, i bought one. I had to return to thank her for her sharing. Thank you for the lasting reward for my first visit.
