It was pouring down rain and it was wonderful to go in and sit by a warm fireplace! We went to the buffet. The turkey was carved from the cooked bird in front of us. Had the typical sides but oh so many other sides to choose from. I'm not a gravy fan but I requested a small amount. Was given what I thought was a lot but I have to tell you I ate every drop of that gravy and used my bread roll to mop up the last bits of it . Everything I ate was wonderful. Atmosphere was lovely. I live in PA but I'll be stopping back to Harry's next time I visit my family in CA!

Don’t expect a five-star restaurant just because I give it five stars. It gets five stars for being comfortable, friendly, clean, plus outstanding prime rib and roast beef. Plus they make their pies from scratch. I had prime rib, mashed “Obamas” (dic.taters), blueberry pie - but only because they were out of cherry.Wait. What did I just say? I meant to say don’t ever get the cherry pie. I’ve had it a bazillion times. It’s the most delicious and best cherry pie I’ve ever had, but I’m sure you’ll want the blueberry or the apple. Yeah. They almost never run out of those. Set your sights and stunners for apple. Just forget I mentioned the cherry pie. There’s just not enough of that, apparently.Try and think of anything besides cherry pie…..prime rib.

One of the good old cafeteria style restaurants left in the Bay Area. When you go into Harry's Hofbrau, you grab a tray and walk down the line asking for the food items you want. After you get your food, you pay then find a table. This makes getting your meal about as fast as possible.Food was great and service was great.

Severely underrated, can't believe it's not completely packed every time I go.

All was good, but the portions for seniors are shrinking. It's much less meat. I go there once or twice a month for years.

This is a big place but still a great variety of seating options for small meet-ups or larger groups. A great selection of beers and other drinks, and a good-value cafeteria-style food bar with a variety of carvery and other meals. Honestly, the food isn't brilliant .. solid value rather than subtle flavours .. but it's a great social environment (albeit you need to bring your own party) and not a gourmet experience.

We were bummed when the San Jose location closed. We visit whenever we're in the area. The turkey dinners are generously portioned. My husband always gers a slice of chocolate cake. Kind of pricey but worth it.
An old school beer hall, which I love. I was disappointed the didn't have chili as their online menu stated. A varied beer selection included Guinness. Parking can be a challenge but if you're patient, something will turn up.

Classic restaurant of many years. Sister store closed in Santa Clara. Great selection of prime rib sliced meats, hot food, classic stuff from the old days. Staff was friendly. Good clients. Popular spot with a full bar... I had a big slice of prime rib with all the fixings.I was there for a memorial. They have a nice back room.

It's buffet style, and the people on the line were not friendly or helpful in the least. The food was okay but theprices were great!
