Young woman manager was very flippant and unprofessional. She is not nice with her staff. We witnessed while we dined there.

Amazing. We love the food so much. We make every effort to go here for special occasions. There isn't anything we don't like about it---service, food, and atmosphere is all the best.

We found this place roughly a month ago, and the owner and head chef named Josh is arguably one of the best steps I've ever met, I come from chefs background used to be a corporate chef years ago, and the food and quality of service at this location is arguably the best I've ever dealt with, including French laundry. I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody who is interested in an outstanding service, outstanding food and outstanding ambience. We will definitely continue to go back to this location as many times as we can.

This was our first time visiting and thought we'd try something new and local. What a mistake. I should have known when I told a friend earlier we were going and he responded, it's ok but I wouldnt go back. First they sat us at a table pushed up to a wall to the point I wouldn't have been able to eat with two hands. We moved to the next table over. The place a super loud and tables are extremely close together. They must have had a sick call because our server was overwhelmed to say the least. The food I would say 2.5 and overpriced for what it is. An overall underwhelming experience and we sadly won't be back.

Really cool steakhouse restaurant in Redwood City a block from the Fox Theater. We opted for 4 or 5 starters instead of the steak menu. Buffalo Cauliflower, roasted Brussel sprouts, Aranchetta (sp?) wedge salad and a twice baked potatoes. (The person next to us was having the shrimp and grits, which looked fabulous) The only drawback was the noice level inside, you couldn't hear each other talk. Will definitely go back.

I brought a group from work here with some out of town colleagues. Overall we enjoyed the experience. The appetizers left a lot to be desired. The "poke" was flavorless and cut into large chunks and either seared, or there was skin left on the tuna. It was paired with large chunks of cucumber and bland avocado. Our other appetizers (arancini and brussels sprouts) were better, but not great. Our main dishes were much better and had a good amount of flavor. The side of mushrooms was a hit. We were a party of 9 and took up a majority of the inside seating. The wait staff was attentive, and at some times too attentive - probably because we were the only large party in the restaurant. I probably wouldn't come back unless I was specifically looking for a steak dinner.

We are new to the area and we're trying to find a unique place to have my husband‘s birthday dinner. We got to timber and salt and had a very delicious meal and a nice setting. That felt like a local hang out. It was perfect for dinner.

Pete and I celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary at Timber and Salt. Food was fantastic, we shared the filet mignon, pork chop, scallops and the arancini balls. Our “to go” dessert was divine. Christina was exceptional as our server and Red is the best! She always treats us as VIPs. We left feeling very special and happy we picked the perfect restaurant to celebrate our special day.

The food was very tasty. (In fact, be alerted that they season their steaks, so if you don't want the chef's-applied pepper and salt, you need to specify when ordering). The service was SUPERB ... gracious, present without overwhelming, friendly, caring, and attention to details.

This is by far my favorite place in downtown RWC. Great cocktails, food, service, and ambience. It honestly doesn't get much better than this.
