“Visited this restaurant for the 1st time and I’m glad we did! We wanted to get carnes en su jugo but didn’t know where to go. Searched in google, found this place and decided to give it a try. The restaurant from outside looks like a fast food restaurant but is not. Customer service is outstanding, the food is delicious, definitely tasted like authentic Mexican food. “The food was super delicious. My kids ate it all and they're picky. I got the green chilaquiles and cleaned the plate! The only thing was the lady never came and offered refills or checked up on us after we got our food. We had to wave to her to ask for the bill. I'd definitely go there again if only I didn't live 7 hours away!“

“I'd read about Los Mexicanos on Eater so, on a recent trip back to the East Bay, spent a half day working remotely from the Richmond where I could conveniently load up on tacos, tacos, and more tacos. And the ones here at Los Mexicanos didn't disappoint. After leaving the East Bay for Cleveland last year, I've missed honest, authentic, down-home tacos where the meats are the stars of the show, instead of ridiculous "fusion" toppings like candied walnuts that Ohioans go for (yes, really). The cabeza, lengua, pastor, and chorizo didn't disappoint. Generous portions of well-grilled and/or well-marinated meat served atop deliciously warm corn tortillas and with your choices of salsas, onions, cilantro, and lime sprinkled on. ¡Muy delicioso! Service from a lady running the entire store was efficient and super sweet. The venue is a cozy, home-like dining room with about a dozen tables. Although I don't remember there being any dedicated parking, there should be enough in front or up and down the street. A most excellent, local, independent find thanks to Luke Tsai of Eater!“
“Cute restaurant with pretty dishes but the taste is a bit bland (not spicy) for Mexican food, quite oily, and it seems that the 3 dishes we ordered had some sugar or sweetener (they were a bit sweet instead of spicy, making this feel more "Americanized"). The food was good, just not what I typically prefer.“

“This review is actually way overdue but while I have some time I wanted to thank El Sol for being my FAVORITE. I am a 10year plus customer, and I absolutely love the staff including the owner Joesapine because their customer service is top tier. I am a pescatarian but when I place my order for food I am always satisfied. They listen to me and always want their customers beyond satisfied! It was a time when I was in the hospital and El Sol continued to prepare my soups for me, which meant so much to me. A special, warm, pleasant ambience to dwell in. My favorites are the savory tiger prawn soup, crispy prawn tacos, and their juicy black beans! Thank you for everything. -Ashley“
“I go to Angel's for the breakfast burrito with bacon. It always delivers, esp. with some hot sauce. The building and interior need some TLC, but if you look past that you'll discover a gem with quick, friendly service. Grab coffee from Catahoula across the street.“
“Honestly the best Mexican tamales on 23rd st. I have come to them for the past 10+ years and while the prices have increased the portions and the flavor remains the same. The people are warm and welcoming and their customer service is always good. Their salsas OMG! Just delicious. If you are in town and you are craving tamales, please stop by and give them a try! “Partner and I had sopa de pollo and a caldo de res. Belen makes some amazing food. The made to order corn tortillas are HUGE, soft, and yummy. The chips and salsa - amazing salsa. Wish they sold champurrado or atole for the cold days. Belen always seems grumpy, but she's not - she's just busy making great food.“

“Hey, y'all! I visited Maya's on a coworkers suggestion and I was very pleased! I ordered the Carnitas Burrito, and it was GOOD! I asked for light rice and light on the beans. The tortilla was crusty and brown. I ate it about an hour later, and the Burrito ? was still in good "chomping" shape. ? It was not damp or mushy. I almost ordered the nachos, but did not want to be greedy. ? That'll be my choice on the next visit. I have passed by the establishment before, but I just did not have the time to visit. The staff (lady at the register) was nice and helpful with my questions. It's a must stop!Parking: Busy spot with other businesses nearby. Folks were parked in the street to place orders.“

Not only were they delectable, we got to sit next to a big Mexican themed nativity scene with three Our Ladies of Guadalupe!! Everyone comes here, families, working ppl, the whole neighborhood.
