“The ice cream never disappoints. I came in at night and was originally planning to get one scoop on a cone, However, impulse got me, and I upgraded to a two-scoop sundae. The two teenage boys behind the counter were polite and eager to help me. Here's where the four stars come in (and not five). As I saw one of the teens reach over the ice cream and dig down for the scoop, I couldn't help but notice his long hair draping down and nearly touching what I was going to eat. I don't know if BR mandates hair nets, but at least wear a ball cap, tie it off into a ponytail, or cut the hair shorter. I wouldn't want you guys to get a health code violation or to pick shed hair out of my sundae.”
“We are coming here for brunch from out of town you do need a reservation to eat here but overall great service nice music I would recommend the Hong Kong French toast and the milk bread the food came out relatively fast by the way I’m 11.”
“Amazing breakfast burritos. The combination of hash browns, eggs, onions and chorizo or sausage is perfect. The flavor couldn’t be better. The salsas that come with the burrito are spicy so go light or have your burrito + sauces with a glass of milk.”
“Great food - selection of oysters, Cajun shrimp boil, mussels, seafood rice - all amazing! Staff went out of their way to accommodate us during a brief rain shower. Excellent service!”
“Okay nothing this good should be in Redondo Beach but it is? Shame on all of the other pretenders. It’s just that superb. Chef Jen scales the culinary heights of Parnassus with ease and grace. A superb experience! You have to slow down and adjust to the tempo of the space and service. You have no better place to go! Trust me!”
“It’s a worthy dive bar with a frigging delicious hamburger. We went for the atmosphere having walked by on our vacation to Manhattan Beach and had to go back. If you love an authentic old bar and are happy with a great cheeseburger and chips and can overlook a sticky table and a bit scary bathroom situation, this is your spot. A breath of fresh air from our usual bougie eating in South Bay. Did I mention the burger was delicious??”
“Every single bite was delicious. Great service with well thought sequences of dishes. Interior was clean and woody. Reminds me of traditional sushi restaurant in Japan. Dishes and glassware were cute and were hand picked by chef's wife. Must try!”
“Angela is an amazing host. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. The place is warm and full of life and the food is amazing. Probably the best Thai you can find anywhere within 50 miles! The homemade cilantro hot sauce should be bottled and sold. I would drink that by itself.Parking: Big lot nearby.”
“This poke’s fish texture was more jelly when bit ( might be marinated in a special Hawaiian way) compared to Japanese/Asian style poke for your reference. Just not the best texture to me, personally. I am in general more used to having non-Hawaiian style poke.Side dishes are in generous size, though the Edamame tasted a bit cold, hard, raw, and unflavored to me. I wish could have it warm with light sparkled salt on top instead.Appreciate the friendly people who work in store. They are kind to give wasabi and soy sauce pods for extra flavor if asked.”
“This gets 5 for view ambience and service. This time was at the bar. Usually, I get a table where the views can't be beat. Food is always quite pricey and nothing special, but the staff will treat you well and you will enjoy the floor to ceiling views over the pier. Tita served us well at the bar, and she and Jason made great drinks. I also got the crab cakes this time, which I thought were one of the deals on the menu. Again, nothing delectable there--more Cajun style than Chesapeake or CA, fyi.”
“Our waiter was friendly and fantastic. The venue itself is very cool. But cool in temperature too. The whole front of the place is open with no wall and we had to keep our jackets on the whole time. The food was very tasty and we loved the trio of guacamole. The filet tacos were too smokey flavored. We finished with the flan and it was amazing. Big enough to share!”
“Decent atmosphere, kinda dark and fairly loud. Food was over all good. The meatballs were good, but nothing crazy. The ricotta wip was a good addition to them and the bread was good and crispy. The mushrooms lasagna was absolutely over powered by the balsamic and wayyyy too sweet. The egg pizza was delicious from the dough to the toppings. The desserts however were best described by my friend as grocery store desserts. Tiramisu was ok, missing half a layer... Strawberry shortcake a hard pass. Neither worth it imo.”
“Been stopping by Tommy & Atticus since they opened in July. The country, round sour dough is our family favorite. We've tried morning sun citrus pastry (my fav), jalapeno/cheddar sour dough bread, lunch pizza & sandwiches. Great place, great customer service.”
“BEST FOOD ever!!! My husband met the owner he has an amazing personality and very informative and helpful with ordering we have been eating here so much and feel really healthier ”
“Had to wait 30 minutes for a 7:00 reservation. They made up for it with an appetizer and kept us informed. Wait staff is very helpful navigating the menu. Food was plentiful and yummy!Parking: Plenty of street metered parking. No valet”
“The food is so flavorful and the service was exceptional. There is outside seating if you choose not to be inside. Our server Danny did an amazing job, our food came fast and he always checked on us. Overall I give service and food 10 stars. Will definitely be coming back to try different menu items.”
“Absolutely amazing in every way! I don’t care where else you go for a steak or how much you spend, you won’t find a better ribeye. Swordfish, pizza, Carbonara pasta and bread pudding all were excellent!”
“A vegan friend recommended going here and it did not disappoint. The brussels sprouts weren’t great, but I got the San Gennaro pizza and it was seriously one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had, vegan or not. Nice atmosphere and I’ll definitely come back for this pizza.”
“This place is so amazing. The owner and his wife, the staff and the people are all so welcoming and their food is excellent. So is the wine. This was my second time and I’ll be back for sure!”
“Good upscale “fast food”. The manager, Sandro was attentive, even though this is a fast food restaurant. Unique vegetarian options as well as unique takes on traditional dishes. Atmosphere is better than a fast food restaurant.”
“Cute and friendly cafe inside the SouthBay Galleria. I was looking to try their Nutella Latte, but they had just sold out. Will have to try that on the next visit.I instead went with the Vanilla Rose Latte. It gave me the boost I needed to make it through the rest of the afternoon. The ambience and decor was very inviting, and very much like a neighborhood feel. Reminded me a lot of my neighborhood cafe from when I lived in Leimert Park.”
“The açaí bowls taste very good. The mixture of granola, berries, other toppings, and the açaí blend create a stellar combination of sweet, sour, and savory. Those empanadas though??very delicious, same with the coxinhas. The place is small, but that’s okay. Service is great. They serve your bowl in no time. 10/10 will try again.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp leading to the entrance of the building, so it’s easily accessible for those in a wheelchair.”
“Local coffee shop with great coffee and pastries. Open space with enough room to hangout on your laptop and close enough to hit the skatepark right after. Tons or parking along the side of the building between the park.”
“Noodle dish was perfect ! Xiao lum bao or soup dumplings must have been lost in translation because that was 1000 miles away from what I know…..and to be fair it’s not on the menu. Eggplant chicken wouldn’t order again. Staff is very nice and of course quick. I’d come here again now that I know what they are good ”
“Some quality ice cream! Had the mr universal which was caramel & cookies flavor and it was ??. My friends hojicha one was delicious too packed with actual tea flavor. Def will be back.”
“I did not get the full experience of this place. The dining room was closed so orders were placed out front and picked up in the back. That gave me a very limited experience with the staff, but every interaction was fine. Limited menu but the carne asada breakfast burrito I had was excellent.”
“Incredible facility & excellent service. I visited just to look around & spectate, then ended up having a delicious burger for lunch at the Restaurant 917. Our host Jesus even seated us at the window without a reservation. I'll definitely be back here, what a wonderful experience.”
“We had a celebration at this restaurant. There list of coffees and teas are quite extensive. I had the beet-lavendar latte, not sure what the others had. The breakfast menu is varied and the servings are large. Two had the veggie scramble and they split it, comes with a salad and fruit. The other ordered the French toast, which were very thick and yummy. I had the winter breakfast which had two poached eggs, polenta, roasted tomatoes with bacon and feta. Oh forgot the sourdough toast. Way good and had to take some home to enjoy again. Would definitely recommend and will return.”
“My go-to place for sushi when I happen to be in LA. There are no reservations, so you typically have to wait, but for not a lot of time. They have the right match of service people to tables and their system works well. The fish is always fresh and the tip is a flat rate on the bill at 16%. It’s a pretty small place, so probably not good for groups larger than 6 or with picky eaters (this is a sushi restaurant and doesn’t have too much else). The only ding is the their app sometimes calls you for your table too early and you have to wait in the restaurant before they call you back up.”
“Maybe I went at a busy time but this place was chaotic! I guess a previous employee was visiting and none of the employees could focus. The food was good. I thought the patty melt would be larger considering it's practically $10.”
