I had Linni Mare and the sauce was very oily and salty. Fresh pasta was great and portion was plenty. Two parties were seated after us but got served before us?

Food was very good..the service was poor. Our server was very forgetful. He needed to be reminded 4 times to bring out our bread. Our salads never showed up. My wives soda was taken to be refilled and brought back 20 minutes later after he was reminded. Our meal for 4 took over 2 hours. We will not be going back.

We had a lovely dinner. We all started the meal with the Caprese salad - heirloom tomatoes and fresh mozzarella with a basil oil dressing - always wonderful. 2 of the guests had different pasta dishes which they thoroughly enjoyed. I had the grilled chicken with the peperoncino sauce - it's one of my favorite entrees. The chicken is cooked perfectly - moist and the sauce is wonderfully spicy. My husband had the salmon which he said was also delicious.

I would be a comfort if the waitress and waiters would cover their noses with the mask.

The bread that we’re paying for is dry, the waiter Jake I believe was his name asked for our order I wanted 6oz wine he asked my husband if he wanted the same and he said yes but then billed us and gave us 9oz. When we were handed a bill it wasn’t ours and we had to flag him down to get us the correct one with saying MY BAD ? just not very professional for the environment. Everything else was okay.

Il Fornaio has been our favorite restaurant for the past 8 years as a go to place for all the special holidays, birthday, anniversaries, etc. This past evening was our first time back since the pandemic hit in early 2020. The wonderful memories rushed back as we were seated at one of our favorite tables. From the moment we were welcomed, seated and served it seemed as if we had not been gone these past 18 months. Excellent service, food was outstanding, and as always great value for the evening. It was again a very special evening as it was my wife's 71 birthday. Protocol was followed and we felt very safe for our 2 hour evening of fine dining. It is nice to finally go out and enjoy an evening of dining as we had done so many times before this pandemic impacted our country.

Uninspired experience. Food was mediocre at best. Service isn’t worth mentioning. We will never be back to II Fernaio. Very disappointing.

Easily seated right away, quiet corner. Christy, our server, and the kitchen staff, were able to accommodate our youngest daughter's request for truffle gnocchi. which we did not realize was a special the last time we had dined here and was her whole reason for returning this night. It was very much appreciated as it was a going away dinner for her send off to college. Drinks were quick, water was plentiful, bread was abundant. I didn't care for the minestrone this time but it could have been a fluke as we have enjoyed it in the past. Perfect last family dinner.

My husband and I had returned to Il Fornaio as a regular go-to over several years for many positive reasons. Unfortunately, many of those reasons failed on our recent visit. Their menu choices are much reduced with no specials offered. (No fresh ravioli!) I will say, we both had delicious and similar main courses—the gnocchi with bolognese and the tagliatelle with bolognese. Portions were good, but the Portions of our shared Caesar salad were small. Too much cheese, not enough lettuce! They used to deliver a wonderful variety of fresh breads but are now charging $2.00 for one kind, and we had to ask. At least it was fresh. $10.00 for a very small affogato for dessert was steep. As happens with many dining experiences lately, service was just fair. There seemed to be quite a few wait-staff everywhere compared to other restaurants, but our waiter was hard to find.
