Lunch, 12:30-2:00. Very polite service. Don't think of this as together with Mexican, come in for their lunch buffet to try a lot of new things. Also try the chicha morada drink, it's like a fruit punch.Kid-friendliness: Crayons and coloring, kids menus, the usual.

I rarely give a 5 star review, but everything added together, this was a 5 star experience.I asked for a quiet table because neither of us hears that well. The server found us a quiet, private spot. When we asked for more information on the Peruvian cuisine, our server was delighted to advise us. She asked what we were fond of, starting with the protein, then the style we preferred. When we indicated that we were open to trying something authentic, she took us to the buffet and recommended the bean soup followed by rice with one of the 6 stews. There was also a typical salad bar available as part of the buffet lunch. They had fresh pineapple! I admit I was a little piggie with the pineapple! We opted for the buffet—$15.95 on a Wednesday. I first tried the bean soup with a beef stew. Superb. Followed up with rice and fish stew. Now I must tell you that I do NOT like fishy food. But this was the most mild, but tasty, fish dish that I have ever tried. The sauce was full of vegetables- potato, peppers, onions, mushrooms, in addition to perfectly prepared fish. Worth the price of the buffet alone! My lunch buddy started with the soup and went on to try every stew with his rice—twice. We were truly delighted to try something new and find it so wonderful. Our server had a Russian name, maybe Olyenka. She was cute, attentive, and eager to introduce us to their delicious offerings.I will return.PS the blue corn drink is good, too.PPS the restrooms were very clean.

I stopped by this lovely establishment about 45mins before closing (I didn’t check the hours before coming ?). The wonderful hostess sat me down but when I asked what lahuaca meant, she was so happy to explain everything to me (maybe because I asked in Spanish which made it easier to explain) about the rich history behind the name which you can find plastered all over the walls of the restaurant from the moment you walk in.I ordered the Lomo Saltado con Carne which was very tasty. Unfortunately, because I showed up late, I didn’t finish my food at the restaurant out of respect for the staff. But I feel like it was even easier when I got home and warmed it up and destroyed it. Good food and good customer service are the recipe for return customers. Next time I’m in town, I’ll definitely be grabbing another meal from here. Hopefully I’ll show up early enough to enjoy the food and environment and not have to take food home

We were waiting for La Huaca to reopen, and finally, they did we went and tried it at this new location. I went ahead and tried their menu. I got a paella style dish. The flavor was dull and in addition, they didn’t have Pisco during this time. That was really disappointing when a Peruvian restaurant didn’t have their signature drink. If you are looking for a Peruvian restaurant I would suggest Chicha Peruvian Kitchen much better.

We've been to La Huaca a few times already. The food and service never disappoints. We ordered ceviche too. No picture because we ate it right away. Next time we have to try their buffet. Thank you for the excellent service and for the suprise dessert!

They exposed my toddler and husband to toxic chemical fumes resulting in a call for an ambulance and a trip to the ER. No one from management approached us (just ignored us, even with the fire department there) during the event nor did they reach out to us afterwards. I heard that 7 others also were admitted to the ER because of their negligence

I went with a friend of mine for the buffet. I had never eaten Peruvian food. There weren't too many entrees to choose from for the Buffet but they were very good! The soup salad and dessert bar was very good. Very nice assortment. Staff is very nice and made us feel welcome. It was nicely decorated with lots of color. I would definitely go back there again. Good to try something new

I am updating for the Buffet experience. On my last review I noted that wish they had a sampler so that I could try a variety without commitment. I noticed a guy out front holding up sign saying Buffet. Perfect! Buffet is served 11-3 and nowhere, even their website says how much that is. It is $35.95 folks... on Sunday. A little more than I expected for lunch. Boy, did that gimmick work for them. They were packed! The last time we came, they only had a few customers besides us. We walked in at 1:30 and waited forever to be acknowledged even though 3 different employees walked past us without a word. It was one of those, should we leave moments? but we were hangry and stuck it out. The selection was ok. The salad part only had one kind of dressing. There was a chicken I wanted to try but it remained out the whole time as well as the ceviche type thing. White rice was empty. Another item was empty the second time. The mashed potato thing was excellent and this beef with onions and peppers. Good flavors. I didn't feel like so much should be out one hour before closing. Next time, I probably would not do the buffet again. It was not worth the price if only 2/3 of it was available.

Food was awesome. The bread and empanadas were the best. Service was terrific. Waited a bit long for entrees but wasn't an issue for us. They gave us free ice cream for being patient which was over the top. Highly recommend.

What a terrible experirence!! The chaufa rice tasted old, the rotiserrie chicken was under cooked and when we complained the staff didn't care. Please do yourself a favor and save time and money and go to Jimmy's which is much better. This place has a store in order to mask their horrible service amd food.

Very richly flavored food. My classic ceviche was delicious. We also had the empanadas, yucca Fritas for apps. My hubby inhaled his lamb entree lol. We had the ice cream for dessert. If you have a sweet tooth this is your jam. Our server, Lalo was very attentive and friendly. Definitely will try this place again.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu and is a family friendly atmosphere
