This place used to be good. But much like everything else in the world, nothing lasts forever. Sadly, the prices have gone up but the quality of the food, along with the portions have gone down. I will never visit a Mimis's cafe again. We waited over 40 minutes for our three dishes. The food was extremely low quality, wilted lettuce and old burger patties. Chef Ramsay needs to overhaul this place and yell at someone.

Okay, my husband and I used to love coming to Mimi's Cafe. But after today's lunch, we are definitely not coming back. We waited more than 30 minutes to get our food, and when we did, it was not what we were expecting. The quality of the ingredients and the amount of it was a total disappointment. The lettuce of my salad was old. The burger that my daughter ordered was pieces of burger glued together with cheese. In general, food was lacking flavor, for sure salt and pepper. And to have to pay $52 for all this bad food, it is not worth it to come back and give it another try. You are better off at McDonald's.

amazing place to stop on a trip up to tahoe. nice change up from your typical quick stop food. Upscale diner-style with a french vibe/theme that was pleasant. They have a wide selection of good stuff that you don't always see. For example, corn chowder is one of my favorite soups that you never see (and theirs was good). Had an amazing kids menu too

Love meet up with friends. This is great place for brunch! Always friendly service. Bit busy so had to ask a few times for things from our server. But it was fine since it gave us time to hang out a bit before leaving.

We came here for breakfast and were very upset!!! The omelette was disgusting, you couldn't eat it! It was either bad eggs or too much water, or they simply didn’t know how to cook.

It's been over a decade between our visits to Mimi's. We are shocked how the quality of their breakfast menu has tanked. Service was great but no amount of excellence can make up for poor quality of food. If you want a better breakfast, there are a lot of choices down the road - Huckleberry's, Black Bear, IHOP, four sisters, Mimosa house, Waffle House, even the lowly Mel's is better and cheaper.

My husband wanted pot roast for dinner so we decided to go to Mimi's. We have not been here for about 10 years so we were looking forward to it. There were only 4 cars in the parking spaces near the restaurant. That should have clued us in. We went in and only 2 tables with 2 people each plus a man sitting on the bench talking to one of the couples were occupied. Waited at the kiosk up front. Finally the man sat up from the bench and came up front to seat us. Waited for a few minutes and the waitress took our orders. Hubby ordered the pot roast and a side salad. I ordered a French dip with a salad. The food and salads came out at the same time. We tried to eat the salads quickly because the food was getting cold (we were seated under a vent that was blowing air). The pot roast looked delicious and hubby seamed pleased. My French dip was cold and sad. I opened the bun and not exaggerating when I say there were 2 slices of meat per section. The au jus was also cold. I would have sent it back but just then we could hear the male host/waiter (?) yelling at the female waitress in the kitchen that he was tired of her "blaming him for everything". She replied that she wasn't complaining about him. We were really uncomfortable then. The waitress came out and asked how the food was, we said fine, paid the check and left. We probably won't be back. Food wasn't worth the cost, salads should have come out BEFORE the entrees and employees shouldn't argue in from of guests.

We dined in and had a very nice server. She was compliant to everything that we would need extra napkins or whatever condiments we could have. The atmosphere is comfortable My favorite thing there is the French onion soup.
We celebrated my friend’s birthday. I love the ambience and decor. It’s tastefully decorated rustic paintings, cute old telephone, separate booth and many more cute ones. I ordered sandwich Trio and requested to add grilled onions, bell peppers and jalapeños. The cook just cooked the most delicious and delectable sandwich I ever ate. The server was super friendly and attentive.Altogether I would love to go there anytime and recommend it 100%.Vegetarian options: Some vege options.Parking: It depends on the time you visit.

Stood at the entrance for an excessive amount of time waiting to be acknowledged while the staff walked around in a daze. You will definitely not get prompt service here. Best to go when you have nothing but time on your hands.
