Only giving one star on atmosphere because it was the most ridiculously hot, uncomfortable, miserable dining experience we have ever had. Not sure if no AC is their thing or what, but they clearly had power when we dined there. We couldn’t enjoy our meal due to how suffocatingly hot the dining room was. That aside, the food was absolutely wonderful. But we are hesitant to return since our dining experience was truly the most uncomfortable one either of us has ever experienced. We just wanted to eat and leave as quickly as possible. But maybe that’s the point?Parking: You may have to walk a bit. Parking lot is plentiful, but close-up parking isn’t typical.

Highly recommend Q1227! The warm atmosphere and amazing food made for a wonderful culinary experience. The waygu burger and the dry aged strip was prepared perfectly. Then having peach cobbler was a fantastic ending to a great meal. The staff was courteous and attentive. Desiree was especially impressive at the bar, and then to meet the Chef was fun too.

Not bad but I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Sent back a really bad caesar salad and they were nice enough to remove it from the bill. The garlic cheese loaf, brussel sprouts, and fried chicken were really good. The NY strip was super bland and might have even been a lower grade cut. Swing and a miss on one of the safer, and easier (also costlier) menu options is a big turn off. Fairly weak bar, 4 beers on tap, no liquor, and mostly wine options. Snug seating I might return casually for some of the starters and shareables, but I wouldn't come here for a real dining experience.

Full disclosure: Q1227 is my favorite local restaurant, and remains that way, but yesterday's dinner wasn't up to normal standards. We had a reservation at 5:00 (when it opens), but there was a large group (possibly wedding party) that was there, and the restaurant struggled to meet their needs as well as the rest of the clientele. (The restaurant was basically full within minutes of opening.) Dishes took longer than usual to arrive, and when my wife's dish arrived, it was nowhere hear warm enough. We were seated close to the kitchen, and repeatedly saw dishes waiting to be served (i.e. cooling), and speculated that hers was sitting while mine was being finished. Our server apologized and graciously took it back to get a new one, but that took at least 10 minutes to arrive, so I'd basically finished eating my dish. Service was excellent and friendly (Desiree was our waitress), and the food itself was excellent. The octopus (salad) was to die for, and the Cajun chicken pasta and blackberry trifle were excellent as well. But the pace of the meal and ultimately having to send a dish back (and then wait) detracted from the experience. That said - we'll be back on Friday, and expect everything to be back to normal!

I thought it important to reach out to you with our experience from your restaurant on 3/12/24. My children and their friends raved about your establishment and its food so my wife and I, celebrating our our anniversary, thought of no place other than yours to celebrate and we were very very excited when we arrived however the experience was one of disappointment at best. The wait staff was training a new employee and was more interested in explaining to him what to do and how to do it rather than focus on our drink order. I understand the need to train new people however that should be done when closed so the waiter/bus person can give the needed instruction to the new employee without giving the needed attention to the customers. We asked for two waters with lemon and then had to ask again for lemon because they did not bring them with the water and we wanted to get other drinks however we had to wait until the person who took our order came over, some time later, before we could ask for that to be added. The next person to come over was the one who took our order and when asked about the menu and what came with each item, based on the description under each item, she did not have an answer to the questions asked and was really unprepared. I understand the entire menu may not be understood or memorized however if you don't know then tell me you are not sure and then go get the answer to the question asked. At this point we placed our order and started with the Garlic Cheese Loaf which was amazing and one of the best parts of the meal however when we asked for whipped butter the server brought over melted butter that when they set it down I asked if we could please get some whipped butter instead of the melted butter the look on the server was one of being put out and he said, "you mean you want different butter" to which I said yes please, I would like to have some on the bread that you just brought to our table. The waiter then took the butter originally brought

I just celebrated my birthday here this past Friday and let me tell you! We ordered quite a few appetizers, and entrees for our party of 10 and EVERYTHING was amazing!!!! As a group of Indian and Palestinians we LOVE all of our spices and flavors and all the food there EXCEEDED our expectations! My kids who are 4 and 5 absolutely loved the spicy chicken pasta and couldn’t wait to have their leftovers the next day! The chef/owner came out and even introduced himself, you don’t see that nowadays at restaurants.Overall, AMAZING flavorful food and great experience!

Q1227 is easily one of the top restaurants in the area. The chef has 5 star skills, and he and his team create culinary masterpieces for every customer. My pan seared bourbon glazed salmon was the best I've ever tasted. The service is outstanding with all of the staff involved in providing a wonderful dining experience!

I highly encourage EVERYONE to go to Q1227. The entire experience was amazing. The staff is very professional and friendly. The restaurant was very clean and had an urban upscale flair. To top it all off, the food was AWESOME! A wonderful twist to traditional Southern Cuisine. A great touch to the evening was having the opportunity to meet the owner and master chef (who comes out of the kitchen and comes to each table to ask how you are enjoying the food). Another nice traditional Southern gesture. I drove an hour to eat at this restaurant and it will now be one that I will visit as often as I can. Chef Q is exQuisite!

Food was great, but staff weren't professionally dressed (hoodies and T-shirt, except for hostess and Chefs) a bit pricey at $120 per head, and they no longer take gift cards sold from Costco. Waitress, Dez (on 3/2/24) offered nothing but a stern, we don't take those anymore, which I would expect something for like a free dessert for the inconvenience. Ordered lobster bites $28, Beef Wellington $72, and Pork Tomahawk $42, all were great. Would likely eat at The Kitchen on Broadway for the future.

It was my birthday and the overall experience was disappointing. Had a reservation for seven had to wait 15 minutes just to be seated outside amongst mosquitoes and a stuffy hot. Service was mediocre. Food was good but overall disappointed.

This is the best place I've ever been to for a date night. The ambience was perfect, the food was amazing nothing came out cold it was all fresh, the servers was awesome. The highlight was being able to meet the owner/chef he was so humble and grateful to have us. The two hour drive was definitely worth it.
