We have visited Happy Harbor (凱悅) several times and, as always, enjoyed their Dim Sums and service very much. We came for lunch on a weekday, so there’s no crowd. The followings are what we ordered: 1. Chinese New Year Turnip Cake (香煎好彩頭); 2. Shark Fin Dumpling (魚翅餃, $4.50); 3. Steamed Tofu Skin Rolls (鮮竹捲); 4. Chicken feet (鳳爪); 5. Classic dim sum spot that my family has been coming to for years. Yes, it’s a long wait (30 min - 1hr is the norm), and yes, the service can be a bit brusque, but it’s all part of the charm. Plus the food is well worth it. They don’t have carts, but rather, you pencil how many dishes you want by numbers and give it to the server. They bring the food out as it gets prepared. I stopped by the Happy Harbor Restaurant in Rowland Heights, California for take out. I was packed in the early afternoon, a very good sign. I ordered the sliced roasted pork from their extensive menu. It was good.
