We were in the area and l noticed Essy's Kabob. Knowing my better half likes Mediterranean type of food I suggested we try it for lunch. When we got there we were greated by a couple of the employees and asked if it was our first time there. We were then explained what the menu items were and told what was most popular. We both decided on the chicken kabob and found a table. A short while later we were brought some warm and tadty pita bread. A short time later our chicken kabob plates should up with basmati rice, hummus, and fresh grilled pepper and tomato. The chicken was very good, tendor with great flavor. The rice, hummus and vegetables were equally as good and tasted very fresh. All in all it was a good choice and good meal. Friendly, helpful staff and reasonably nice dinning area. Looked like they do a fair amount of catering as well. Definitely worth trying.

4.7 stars??? I don’t think so. The employees were friendly, but the food was a 0. The rice was dry. The kebab had no taste annd the quality of the meat was anbsol awful. The food was served on paper plates and plastic Utensils. Definitely will not go back there again. We had so much leftovers and threw everything away. What a waste of money.

I had a very bad experience. On Tuesday, I ordered food. For myself and my seven-year-old son, kebab and for my mother-in-law, gormh shabzi We all got very sick.kebab was so hard and no teasty. The first time and certainly the last experience.

First time there for lunch. Food was for to-go. Guy was super nice. Took the time to explain the food and make recommendations. Ground beef kabob and rice was super moist. Dolmas was good. Portion was big. Service was fast. They don't have lunch price/ portion menu as suggested on Yelp. Would still highly recommend though.

Been going here for years while I lived here, and every few months for takeout when I pass through Sac for work.Efficient service, great hole-in-the-wall place with yum foods. Diff members of the fam love diff things, I love the lamb, wife loves the koobideh, and kids love the kebabs... so there's something for everyone?Great for takeout; not much seating for in person but yeah just know that's what you're getting into - great food.
