The 4 stars on service is only because sometimes you have to ask instead of being offered, but hey, it's an AYCE business, so that makes business sense, otherwise the staff is always warm and kind. Had a reservation there for a Friday night date night with my girlfriend. Somehow they lost my reservation and tried to make us wait an hour for a seat. I called the fair oaks blvd location to make sure I didn't call the wrong restaurant and had no reservation there either. Hope they get it together because I was looking forward to trying this place out.

2 stars cuz i guess it was busy. they said they stop the AYCE all you can eat 45 minutes before closing time. closing time is 11pm. they said i can't be seated before 9.45 but can't have the all you can eat. wasted my drive because this was not what was expected coming here. atleast be accurate

I cannot believe this, but I think I like hotpot more than kbbq? The flavor and cuts of meat here were next level, I could not stop getting more. The price was very reasonable, about $35-40 per person, just make sure you chow down to get your moneys worth.They also gave us complimentary ice cream at the end ?

I've been coming here for a few years now for high-quality AYCE shabu, and I've never ever been disappointed! The food is always amazing, and the service matches it easily.I called to make a reservation for a party of 3, and it was super easy to do! Reservations are definitely recommended, especially during dinner and during winter when things get even busier than usual! This spot is always busy, and for good reason!Your table is always set up with goma, ponzu sauce, minced garlic, and green onions! You get to choose 2 broths from a list for your pot, my go-to choices are always the BBH (broth by heat, nice and spicy!) and the Tonkotsu for a non-spicy option! The BBH is popular so I'd recommend that one. You get to choose 3 meats at a time, and I always go for the kobe, ribeye, and lamb. The kobe is my favorite cut of meat, it's very tender and they definitely pack on the portions when they send it out to the tables! You can always let your server know if you'd like a smaller serving or a heftier one. Pork is pretty filling so I usually avoid it, but it tastes great here too! The fishballs here have roe in them for an added boost of flavor and deliciousness--they're my favorite menu item honestly. Service is always super quick and all of the staff members are very kind and helpful. Kudos to them for not even needing a notepad for my table when I went this past week! They memorized everything and nailed it completely. All in all, super worth the price and you'll definitely get your money's worth. This location is way better than the one in Fair Oaks! Definitely check it out.

I came to Heat Shabu Baru with two friends and we got the Shabu Course with the American Kobe Beef option. I appreciated how they had a choice of AYCE or a la carte since AYCE was a little bit too much for us. Also being our first time there, they let us sample the broths which was great! We ended up getting the Tonkotsu and then Vietnamese BBH broths. The meat was very fresh and the food we got was just enough for the three of us. We also got the Killer Shrimp as an app. It was very flavorful, although I wish the shrimp was a little more crispy.
