If you want the real experience of true Mexican style cuisine then Lalo's Restaurant is THE best place. If you visit Mexico you'll find many places like Lalo's but in Sacramento, Lalo's Restaurant is the best real Mexican food. I recommend the corn quesadillas, chicharrón is really good and the torta cubana, really big but definitely the best torta. The service is always great when the m'am with blonde hair gets your order.
Very quaint location in the fruitridge/24th area of Sacramento. No frills location but the food is very authentic and the service was fast. Definitely recommend if you're reading this, just go. I got 3 tamales, soda, side of beans and rice all for $15.Parking: Small lot but plenty of parking

This is by far one of my fave mexican restaurants. Very traditional food, always reminds me of my grandmother's cooking. Highly recommend the torta de milanesa, molcajete and red enchiladas. Barbacoa is available weekends only and also delicious!
