Tastiest pizza in sac! The crust is so yum. It's similar to a pie crust and it's loaded with toppings. Just beware, when coming in from outside, it is very dark inside. Otherwise, I love this place.

If you have lower back pain, don't sit in a booth. There is no cushion support. The meatballs were dry and overcooked.

Wow, what happened to Zelda's? This place used to be a staple for Sacramento. Now it's just another $hit hole waiting to fail their food and safety inspection for permanent closure. The service was terrible and I didn't even get my food. After waiting for 2, yes 2 hour's, I had to ask the waiter to check on our food.... Damn he sucked, took 15 minutes to get back to me just to ask if I wanted my pizza baked....ummm who doesn't?Bye bye Zelda's ???.

Old but cool! Our server was Carly and she was magnificent! Their wings were great but pricey. The pizza was pretty good. It's unique but I wish for the price they put more toppings. I even ordered extra cheese and there was hardly any for some reason? The biggest hit was the sauce! I'm 57 and it's the best pizza sauce I've ever had. In fact the sauce is so good it makes up for the lack of toppings.....almost. Still I can recommend this place. Carly's customer service was amazing and she alone will keep customers coming back. The wait wasn't really that long. We ate our wings and my wife ate her salad and before we knew it here comes the sizzling pan full of deliciousness. Easy to see why people either love this place or hate it. I enjoyed it and I enjoyed the "speakeasy" feel of the room. Thank you Zelda's and thank you Carly!

Born and raised in Chicago, I can tell you every good pizza joint from the Southside to the Northside. This place is spot on! I'll admit it I'm a spoiled food snob due to my Chicago upbringing and I have been wholeheartedly disappointed since I've moved to California but this place! Omg best thing I have eaten since I moved here a year ago. Go Bears

I really don't like leaving bad reviews but this one gave me food poisoning. The cheese was old and not fresh, the deep dish pan was very dirty as apparent in the crust smell and tast. The pizza tasted like the smell of a dirty sponge and I was sick for 2 days. They need a better chef and need to invest in fresh ingredients. This is a great location for a pizza spot. Just needs to be better.

This spot is something special. The pizza let me tell you that crust is like nothing I've ever had and the ingredients on the pie are delicious. There were 5 groups waiting before this spot opened and the phone was no stop ringing. Place this old and this busy has to mean something. Give it a

We've been to Zelda's several times, and we love this place. When you walk in, it's like going back in time. The bar is the first thing you'll see. It's dark due to low lighting. To the left is the small dining room where you can sit in a wooden booth along the wall or at a 4-top table. There is an ivy-covered lattice type wall adorned with colored Christmas lights that separate the bar from the dining room. The servers are super nice and attentive as they keep your drinks full. The food, especially the pizza, takes a while, so don't expect a quick meal. We started with the spinach salad so we could get our veggies. It was filled with fresh spinach, real bacon pieces, cheese, and a hardboiled egg.The pizza finally came, and it was worth the wait! We had the "Everything with Anchovies." It's my favorite pizza of all time. This deep dish pizza has an incredible crust that has a crunchy yet flaky, buttery texture. The chunky pieces of tomato ooze their juices when cooked and create a sauce atop the crust. Also, it's these chunky tomato pieces that allow the anchovies to melt into the pizza and give it a wonderful umami that makes all the ingredients dance on your palette. If you want to try the best pizza in Sacramento (IMO), visit Zelda's. You won't be disappointed. They also do take out and order ahead for dine in.Parking: Limited street parking (meters) is available.
