Made a lunch reservation, & we're seated within 5 minutes. Had Stacy for our server, & she remembered us from previous visits, including that hubby likes to mix both types of horseradish. Our food was perfect, everything as requested. Stacy was busy, but still attentive. I have to say, I still miss the high booths that made for a more private experience. But, great food & service as always.

Haven't been here since about 1989. I know it is famous for steak so I expected it to be better than Outback and TGI Fridays however it was not. Everything was cooked right, it just tasted like something I would get at the supermarket and make while watching TV. I do have to say that the garlic bread hit it out of the park. Absolutely delicious and I could have eaten it all night long. Truly an inspiration and delight. So good that it almost made up for the sad steak. Very nice staff as well. They were very patient considering the crowd level for Valentine's Day. I may go again in another 25 years but in the meantime I will go to Outback and TGI Fridays when I want a good steak. Sorry Black Angus, you just don't have it any more.

It's a steakhouse but I wouldn't get the steak if I ever go again. The place was nice and the service was friendly. I ordered a 12 oz ribeye rare and there was no sear to it at all. Either seems like it was boiled and lines were added or it was thrown on a George foreman grill and zapped all the flavor away. Also it was very rubbery and looked absolutely nothing like the menu or any of the other steaks I've seen on some of the review pics. It's sad too cause for the price it should have been fantastic but it completely fell short of even good.

The food was good not great and overpriced but the service was bad!
The Black Angus is one of our favorite places for Steak and Seafood. Went with two of our best friends last night and had an excellent meal of Steak and Shrimp Scampi. The steak was juicy and very tender.

Crab and potatoes cakes were not very good I would rather have crab cakes themselves. Green beans had a weird after taste. Mac and cheese and au gratin potatoes were good. Prime rib was rough. Ribeye was a bit deformed but the taste was very good. Cheese cake seemed store bought. Other than that nice staff and regular black angus.

Waitress Amy was excellent-efficient, friendly, attentive, and very helpful. My filet, although cooked properly to a medium rare, was almost tasteless and in places mushy and pasty, inside. My wife ordered the special-wild prawns. After finishing our salad and waiting for the meal Amy came to say she just learned that they were out of the prawns. Why did it take 20 minutes after our order for someone to tell her that? When we left after dinner the prawns were still being advertised on the blackboard as the daily special.
