Went in at 7pm on a Saturday and it was perfectly timed. Not too busy, yet, and we got a table. Two pizzas for three people was more than enough! Definitely recommend the Margarita D.O.C and the Prosciutto and Arugula. Definitely a place to go back to!

A major con was the workers said I cannot use my computer past 3pm. I was politely told to leave . I did buy food and drinks here yet they said I cannot use my laptop after 3pm and had to leave . Ridiculous rule I have never have seen a place that restricts laptop use . There was a guy who was doing paperwork next to me and they didn't say anything to him because he was not using a computer . Drinks are good , ambiance is good . I heard good things about this but was shocked of the no computer rule after 3pm. It is extremely frustrating being told to leave when you are a paying customer at a place!.

I just recently had my birthday hosted here and it was an absolute blast. The staff was amazing - especially Jacob. He went out of his way to ensure that everything we needed was taken care of. I don't know what we would have done without him. My guest were very pleased with the assortment of food and drinks. The atmosphere was perfect for the theme of my party and everything turned out amazing!

At one point and time, this was my favorite coffee house in the universe, let alone San Diego. I still commend them for the great flavors and aromas fill the air because they do it all from coffee to wine to pizza. The service feels like its dropped off a bit in recent history and the hours can be irregular, but I still enjoy stopping in and recommend it as a spot to grab a good coffee.

I really enjoyed my food and coffee every time I have come to this cafe. However, the previous time I came to this cafe, a very rude, older man made it clear to me that I was not welcomed to stay by just seeing my backpack. He repeatedly and loudly stated "this is an eating and drinking establishment". I walked right out due to unwelcoming environment and embarrassment. I was planning on ordering food and coffee but he assumed I was there for free wifi and just a place to work. The cafe had ample space to sit and other people were also working on their laptops. Never had a bad experience with any other employee but I would will NEVER return. Really terrible how this owner/employee ruined the great service and food I have experienced for years as a paying costumer.

It greatly saddens me to write this review as Cafe Calabria used to be one of my favorite coffee shops. I would frequent this coffee shop several times a week, getting coffee and food, and enjoying my time doing work here. I'm not sure if the owner has changed recently, but in recent times I have been here a man has come up to me and passive-aggressively told me that this is an "eating and drinking establishment" and specifically asked me how long I plan to be staying with the innuendo that I should be leaving soon. Not to mention that I had already bought a coffee (which was still on the table) and there were plenty of seats for customers to sit.As an avid customer for the past few years, it is saddening that an owner or employee would talk to their customers in this passive-aggressive manner and encourage them to leave. I will not be returning to Cafe Calabria as I would like to be welcomed in a space rather than shooed out of it.
