“Delicious ice cream at The Craft Creamery! We got two double scoops of yeti and double chocolate and smore and peach cream and all was fantastic! The servers are really nice and helpful. Nice outdoor dog friendly patio. Also connected to a coffee shop. Recommend!“
“Okay what is there to not say about this location. You have a sweet tooth, you are on the right page. You are craving some Middle Eastern coffee or tea, you are locked in. Looking for a beautiful, calm and scenic atmosphere to enjoy with company, then Finjan is the place to be. Now redirect your Google Maps search to Finjan for an extraordinary experience not only for the quality of the desserts, drinks and atmosphere but for the incredibly friendly, funny and outgoing employees who make the experience worth going. Thinking you might feel a bit hungry, no need to stress because Tahini is right next door. I genuinely recommend this location as the overall experience continues to draw me back. Jazakallahkhair to Mahmoud, Osama and their incredible team for all you do.“
“I went here cause of the large number of 5-star reviews on google maps this place has. I wasn’t disappointed. Very efficient service. Loved the ambience of the place. The breakfast croissant sandwich is a unique offering in the area and honestly it was so good.“
“The staff was friendly and the food was amazing!! I got the pesto croissant sandwich, which was AMAZING, and the pesto had a bit of a spicy kick! Couldn’t get over how great the atmosphere was on a beautiful, sunny San Diego morning. We enjoyed this neighborhood spot so much we went twice during our visit and would certainly go back again!“
“Spectacular experience. The ambiance is intimate, unique, and the food is fantastic. I was so impressed with David who helped us choose some wonderful dishes, including the special of the night. It was clear every single person we encountered was the height of professionalism. Our meal was the highlight of our evening, every last bite delicious.“
“Stumbled across this wonderful coffee shop while visiting old town San Diego. A gem of a place, wonderful service and the coffee was delicious, there were 6 people in my party and we all enjoyed our drinks. I highly recommended stopping by and having a delicious cup of coffee or espresso.“
“What a darling space. Truly marvelous on the inside.Came to catch up with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed our drinks. The barista was enthusiastic about what was on offer and I appreciate a good recommendation! (I do wish they served their X-Factor drip, though. It is AMAZING. You are missing out if you don't grab a bag!)Much love to a shop that provides resources and community awareness. It is so important and makes the extra circling for parking worthwhile.“
“My favorite place in all of San Diego. A locally owned restaurant that makes everything (bread, pastries, deli meats, etc) from scratch and does not compromise on flavor and quality. The açaí bowl and egg n’ biscuit sandwich are my favorite dishes along with their scones.“
“I ordered a cake from Babycakes in Hillcrest and I couldn’t be happier with the cake. It was probably the best tasting cake I’ve eaten. I requested a special decoration on the cake over the phone and they did a beautiful job with only my verbal description, no picture. Thank you so much Babycakes! I will definitely be back.“
“The cheesecake was BOMB , Orange Matcha was super refreshing! My Daughter surprised me with a lovely bouquet of flowers from the flower shop inside this coffee house. Atmosphere was relaxing. Could use a couple more tables/chairs, but all in all, it was perfect“
“Portuguese inspired coffee shop with a pleasant outdoor space. Their lattes are hit or half-hit, depends on who your barista is. Their tarts are amazing. And their vibe is excellent. The loaves of sourdough they sell are made by a local baker. I wanted to love it, partially bc I love the hype, partially bc it was like $15, but honestly it was just okay. Prager Bros is still light years ahead.... Still, the place is fun, good quality, and adds a lot to the neighborhood.“
“Best acai bowls in San Diego! Gets all the produce at local farmers markets and everything is fresh and delicious. Great seasonal flavors and toppings for the bowls and smoothies.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian, vegan options, and gluten free“
“Super cute coffee shop in Barrio Logan. It's also connected to an art gallery that you can walk through while you wait for your coffee to be made. I got the Espresso Tonic and my roommate got an Iced Orange Dream Latte with oat milk and both were SUPER good. The orange flavor was fresh and present but not over powering at all. My roommate also got a concha that he said was very good. Neighborhood parking is available, super friendly staff. Would definitely visit again!“
“Went there a few more times, and tried more food. Besides the Elmisa Toast, which is a must-have, the Healthier Riser is super yummy! The Elmisa Toast is even better than before as it's very crunchy! It's now my go-to cafe wherever I am around that area. Highly recommend this place!“
“My favorite ever croissants. I’ve brought my entire (non vegan) family here one by one and they are just as obsessed as me.We got a cake once too and it was amazing. And I’m not even a cake girly. Also don’t miss the lemon bar ?Dietary restrictions: Vegan“
“The world's best kombucha! Seriously. Not too sweet, not too tangy. Just right. I've tried many kombuchas and none compare. The flavors are always great and rotate frequently. All natural ingredients. Really cool little shack right in Ocean Beach. I always love taking it to Sunset Cliffs and enjoying my kombucha by the ocean.“
“Really cool spot. Well decorated for Lunar New Year! We got two drinks, Milk Tea with Boba and Kumquat and Mango Jelly. The Milk Tea flavor tasted more like tea if that makes sense. So if you like the strong tea flavor, this place is for you. The Kumquat was refreshing. Service is extremely friendly here.“
“I love this place!I don’t live nearby but whenever I am in the area it is always the highlight of my day. The coffee here is amazing and the owner puts care into every drink that is crafted here. This is easily my favorite coffee shops in San Diego and I would highly recommend to anyone and everyone!“
“Carne asada taco, sope, and shrimp roll taco plus a modelo michelada. Yes please! The flavors of meat and sauces plus the corn was so tasty. Local SD review…Flor’s is an old town Mexican favorite now. A lot of restaurants are here in Old Town just because town needs Mexican food for tourists, but this is honestly top tacos in San Diego. My daughter even commented “these tacos taste like the ones in Mexico!”The atmosphere and seating were comfortable and family friendly. Beer cups available with homemade chamoy and tajin. Recommend it!“
“Had an amazing Saturday brunch! There was a bit of a wait but it wasn’t too bad and totally worth it once we were seated. The food and drinks were great, including the coffee, which I am reaaally picky about. The service was great too and even though it was busy, our server Maddy was super lovely and efficient.“
“If you're a fan of donuts, then this local gem is a must-visit! From the moment you step through the doors, you're greeted with the warm, comforting aroma of freshly baked donuts that's simply irresistible. The variety of donuts is perfect for you all your classic doughnut needs. Each donut is a perfect balance of light, fluffy dough and sweet goodness.Rose is always there and she does a great job holding up her store. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about her craft. It's a perfect spot for a quick breakfast, a leisurely afternoon snack, or a late-night treat. In conclusion, this local donut shop is a treasure trove of deliciousness. It's a place that turns first-time visitors into regulars, and regulars into raving fans. Don't miss out on this sweet spot in our community!“
“This is definitely one of the best boba places in San Diego! Especially since it's locally owned the quality is very good. I always get the tea frescas - premade fruit teas. The seasonal offerings are always great and I especially love the ones with blueberry and hojicha. The tea frescas are super affordable ($5). The boba is always super chewy and has a strong honey flavor, so if you don't like honey, get another topping. They also have customizable tea options with what kind of milk, tea, and toppings (the tofu pudding is always good). I always make sure to stop by here if I'm in the area!“
“Nice, clean, vibrant, coffee mobile hot spot in the east San Diego off El Cajon blvd. Great ambience, plenty of outdoor seating available, in a beautiful tranquil space. Love!! Love!! Love the outdoor seating. Nice staff. It was our first time, we ordered iced vanilla and mocha latte with extra shots of espresso. Drinks were great. Great quality coffee beans… a nice roast. Unfortunately both of the muffins were over baked and dry. Reasonable prices“
“The "I KALE IT SMOOTHIE" offers a uniquely sweet and delicious flavor profile with a satisfying crunch from chia seeds. Packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, it's both a treat for the taste buds and a boost for overall health. This smoothie is a must-try for those seeking a guilt-free indulgence that satisfies both palate and body.“
“Once I got into my rental car at the airport I looked for coffee shops in the area. I normally prefer independent coffee shops to chains. California Bean popped up and I decided to try it. I am glad I tried this place and I only wish I could have their coffee everyday. The little shack is vibrant and the young lady was very pleasant and helpful. I ordered an Americano , it was the best one I have ever had! I also ordered a pumpkin walnut bread, it was very moist, fresh and delicious.“
“Saw this place on social media and had to check it out. First impressions: the aesthetic is so pleasing to the eye. Parking isn’t the best. They offer macaroons and cute, unique desserts. Their menu consists of teas and coffees. I went for the miracle pink matcha iced and my cousin got the miracle pink matcha hot. Personally, I do not like matcha and was hesitant to try it but it was really good! I tried the hot and it wasn’t too sweet at all. Definitely made with love. Not to mention how beautiful the drinks looked. I also tried the Berrylicious dessert, but personally wasnt a fan of it. The other desserts are yummy! I can’t wait to go back!“
“We were looking for a dessert place that wasn't ice cream. We found The Elegant Truffle on Yelp and they were closing in 20 minutes. It was a short walk. Their desserts looked wonderful. I got a piece of The Evil One, which is basically a coconut cream cake. It was incredible. My wife got a piece of carrot cake that is made with pineapple instead of raisins. She enjoyed it over two days.In the short time we were there, this seems like a take it to go place as we saw no seating, which was not a problem. They boxed up each dessert, provided us with forks, and a carry out bag. They have lots of chocolate based desserts as well, both cakes and truffles.“
“The water experience at Bay Park Coffee was tolerable. There were two pitchers of water (no ice) available. However, they were small, inconspicuous pitchers that were easy to miss, as they were near coffee condiments. However, the water itself was good. The cups are small.“
“My favorite coffee place. I'm actually from Orange County and I come in often for work. I casually came across Acento since it was near my hotel. Had the best flat white with honey ever. Luis makes it with the perfect sweetness every time. It's always my first stop on the morning while I'm there! I wish I could go everyday lol My favorite blend is the Blue Skull and I always buy a bag for my machine. Perfect roast and flavors! Anyways just wanted to say how much I love and appreciate this place.“
“The best donuts in town... literally! I've been going to them for over a decade, even though I've moved out of the area, because I have yet to find another place with donuts so good. My co-workers know the difference when I bring in donuts from anywhere other than Christy's. You always see the super friendly owners there and they have a surprisingly large variety for a smaller shop. Heads up- they only take cash. They do have other things like shakes, but definitely go there for all your donut needs.“
“They serve some really cool coffee flavors here, good food options too and the outside area is really nice to sit and relax in.Vegetarian options: Good amountsDietary restrictions: YesParking: Not badKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“I've been seeing this place on tiktok so I finally decided to try with a friend. We had a bit of trouble finding this place, and circled around the building a few times before realizing which store it was. The worker later said that the place was made to be more lowkey/discreet. The vibes inside are 10/10. This would be a nice place for drinks with a friend. The inside is pretty small, so I don't think it would be a group setting type of place. Also, this is definitely more of a place to go for drinks, not food, as the few food items they have are all small appetizers. The service was great! The server who helped us was very friendly and constantly checked up on us. I would definitely come back for drinks. Also, they have a film drop off box at the front of the store which I thought was pretty cool! And the film developing rates were cheaper than other places that I usually go to!“
“Perfect spot for PB, which we don't have a lot and most close down due to to knowing what they are doing. Coffee is fresh, food is fresh and perfect portion size. Menu size is not overwhelming. Great music selection and plenty of seating. My go to spot to get work done. Margarita the owner is amazing and always helpful. 10/10. 5 star all the way. #supportsmallbusiness“
“This place is a vibe. Great decor and wonderful funk music playing while I was there. Both baristas were lovely and coffee came out quickly. I got The Basic (Vanilla Latte) and it was fantastic and looks like they use real vanilla bean in their vanilla flavor. It was delicious. They may have mistaken sawdust for flour with the shortbread cookie this particular day. Not great. It happens. Pretty solid experience, will definitely be back.“
“This is one of the best spots in Southeast. Get plugged into the community while sipping some great drinks and enjoying some surprisingly quality food. It's worth going out of your way for if you're not in the neighborhood; but if you're already local, you're probably already here.Parking: Limited street parking, so you may need to walk a bit.“
“By far our favorite and most frequented ice cream shop in all of San Diego! Erik and his family have created something really special here. From the old-school soft serve ice cream, to the fun flavors, and all the dips & toppings, you can’t get a better cone anywhere. We’ve been coming to this family-owned small business since its inception, and don’t see us slowing down anytime soon. No matter how busy the shop is, Erik always makes time to chat and catch up with us, and that makes us feel special. An added bonus is the points system, which allows a free cone per every 10 ice creams you buy.“
“My favorite boba place in SD. The cocoa latte with tiramisu foam is a must! However, be aware that this place gets CRAZY busy. When I came on a Saturday afternoon, I had to wait about 35 minutes in line, and then another 10–15 minutes after ordering. If you want to avoid lines, go during less busy hours like a weekday afternoon rather than evening or weekends.“
“Vitality Tap is a hidden gem in Downtown San Diego! The vibes are awesome as soon as you walk in. The juice selection is insane! Whether you're into juices or smoothies, they've got you covered. The owner is super friendly and helpful, which adds to the whole experience. Plus, knowing that their ingredients are organic just makes it even better. Seriously, this place is the best in Downtown San Diego! I highly recommend checking it out!“
“There are so many things I love about Ultreya. It's legitimately my favorite spot to grab a treat, and I must admit I do that quite often. This place has San Diego vibes all over it for me. Aside from great friendly down to earth service and ownership, they have a good menu of healthy drinks and treats, some even inspired by san diego herself. I first fell in love with their lavender latte with macadamia nut milk. Yes. MACADAMIA NUT MILK. Chai latte with lavender was the next evolution of drink order and now I am all about their matcha latte. Their butterfly effect is earthy and grounding. They also have VEGAN PASTRIES, and right now I can't get enough of their babkas. While you're waiting for your order you can browse their little local business corner where you can find candles, tarot cards, stickers, essential oils, clothes, and more. They also have another corner that hosts a book sharing shelf. This place is my favorite place to do computer work, good internet connection and outlets spread out, and there is always space inside and if you want to enjoy the sunshine, they have outdoor tables and seating (patio furniture new addition). I wish they were open til later since i'm a late starter and can't get enough of this place. but i know there is more that goes into this decision. I'm just grateful they are still here post pandemic and constantly growing as a business.“
“This is a great little hidden coffee shop on the outskirts of the community of Paradise Hills. The gentleman who runs the coffee shop is very friendly and welcoming, and his wife is a terrific baker and owner of D Sweets D.That being said, I had a cortado and oat, raisins, cranberries, and walnut D Sweets D cookie. Both cost $4. The cortado was robust yet smooth and rich. It was well balanced and delicious. The cookie I paired with it was amazing. So much so that I told the owner to make sure he gives his wife a big hug the next time he sees her.The coffee shop offers an eclectic collection of furniture and decorations. They offer inside and outside seating. I can see how this place is a neighborhood favorite. When in the area, you know what to do.“
“We ordered the chocolate blueberry coconut bliss cake to celebrate our elopement in San Diego (I added the cake topper) and the cake did not disappoint. It was even more delicious than it was beautiful; I wouldn’t have changed a single thing! The ordering and pick up process was so smooth which was much appreciated too. Highly highly recommend and I’m certainly looking forward to going back to try more goodies from Phattie’s!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegan“
“Red Sea Ethiopian is one of the best Ethiopian restaurants I've been to — noting that I've eaten at my fair bit of restaurants in London, SF, NY and Addis Ababa. My family has been coming here for over a decade and we always feel so welcomed and cared for. Samosa, veggie combo, and honey wine are the go-to orders :)“
“The College Sub Shop in San Diego is an absolute gem for Italian sub enthusiasts. Not only do they serve up a delicious sub, but the prices are incredibly reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes. The quality of the ingredients is top-notch, and the flavors are simply outstanding. It’s a must-visit spot for anyone craving an authentic Italian sub that won’t break the bank. You’ll leave with a satisfied belly and a smile on your face!“
“Mouth watering deliciousness! I suggest going early because they do sell out. My favorite is the Strawberry Jamaica donut, but have now tried most of them and every single one is recommended. My husband tried the cold brew horchata today and he said definitely try if you like coffee and horchata.“
“Super cute coffee shop find in PB. A short walk from the boardwalk. Pleasant seating inside or simply grab and go to sit by the beach. Nice selection of cold or warm drinks and multiple selection of pastry choice. Very friendly staff and super fast.“
“The chicken pot pie is just a solid light lunch /snack leaving you satiated. If lucky enough to get one with tons of pearl onions it becomes crave worthy. Coupled with the mash and gravy, I’m happy.Coconut custard 6 out of 10, didn’t pop with flavor but baked well. The ham/bacon quiche 8 out of 10, the buttery everything seasoning crust makes this slice on point.I’ve also had the large salted chocolate chip cookie which is perfect. Here’s the problem… twice a week I go to this place and a $10 pot pie is the right price. This $1 increase to $11 makes me go into rebellion mode as I find it obnoxious and over places just raising prices with justifications that do not apply/smokescreen. It’s officially out of hand. For that I will only go once a week. #harshlove“
“Place is very small. Not much room to sit down inside if it's cold outside. There are a few tables outside along the sidewalk for those nice sunny days though. Our barista was nice and friendly and made our drinks the best she could without the whipped cream.“
“Definitely loved the coffee I ordered! I got TroubleShooter (very yummy & strong enough for me.) I had just came from the hospital and had taken a sedative to relax me, let me tell you I drank this drink and I was wired lol. (Not in a bad way, but definitely had energy.) Then my husband ordered his coffee and baklava croissant ?. Let me tell you that croissant is enough for me to go back! I mean the drinks are great ,but that croissant, that’s whole another level right there. The establishment itself can be crowded (student heavy) but I usually just order and dip anyways . I definitely added this place to my coffee spots. Definitely check it out! Also please excuse my pictures , I got carried away enjoying my items I forgot to take the initial picture LOL!“
“Ahh lovesong. This reminds me of LA. The coffee shop is so cute inside, I love all the decor and design, very open concept with lots of natural light and plants. Just a really nice place to be in and to take friends to. I really enjoy the creativity and presentation of the drinks. Most drinks come with a floral decor. The menu has a lot of variety for coffee drinks. I also like how there's lots of drinks with savory elements that you would not typically associate with coffee drinks (think rosemary, thyme, salt, habanero pepper) as well as other sweet ingredients (maple syrup, coconut flakes, fig, banana). For food they have a few items in their fridge, like yogurts or chia bowls. I Wish they offered more food options or pastry options. Their pastry display is pretty small. But I get that the specialty here is the coffee. The service has been good. The times I've gone the orders take a while but that's because there's a huge line/wait. But when we get our drinks they taste great.“
“Absolutely delicious coffee and not overly sweet. So grateful that they had a vegan option for the classic Saigon Coffee as well. The line was long but the employees worked through it very quickly and were happy to answer any questions. Can't wait to come back!“
