Came here for the first time yesterday for lunch, and it definitely did not disappoint. I love the open layout of the restaurant, the employees and server were extremely friendly and helpful, and the food options were plentiful and everything we ordered was delicious. It was our first time dining at Din Tai Fung in UTC. We arrived around 5 PM without a reservation and waited 3 to 5 minutes until we got seated. According to our server, we were very lucky due to normal wait times typically being an hour to two hours. We ordered drinks and cocktails, The food was absolutely amazing. Food is always excellent here. 9 times out of 10 the wait is pretty long, so make reservations. It’s in a nice mall though, so you can walk around while you wait. Once they text you, you have 15 min to get back. ALWAYS get the chocolate mochi XLB and don’t forget the side of salted cream to dip it in!
