This place has legit the best Cali burrito that I've had. Tacos are amazing too. The employees are friendly and the service is fast. It surprises me that there aren't more customers when I go there cuz it's good quality stuff although the inside isn't that great. It's an awesome place for take out or a quick

The menudo was good but depending on the time of day, it can be missing the hominy! It was very sparse to almost nothing. What's menudo without hominy? We wanted to dine in, but had to use a to go food container (the tall ones) instead of a bowl. We were finally offered a mini child's plastic container. If I wanted a bigger size I would have been charged another $2. Frustrating to say the least. I suggest ordering to go for this dish.

The whole point of my visit to El Portal was trying their SALMON BURRITO with GARLIC BUTTER SAUCE. My parents and my family have been going there for years and getting exactly that burrito. I brought a pescetarian friend because I wanted her to enjoy what USED to be a wonderful meal. 2 things - the burrito is supposed to come with guac, but BOTH of our burritos didn't have it.
