Came in on a Sunday night. Was surprised that they were so crowded. They did empty out during our stay. Ordered a double cheeseburger. It was a sloppy delicious mess of a meal. Ordered onion rings. Did not care for them as much as I liked my girlfriend's fries. Note that for next time. Nice little beer list. Recommend coming in enjoying the burgers and checking out the walls.

A staple in OB! Simple menu with big returns. Shake is big enough for two! Side of fries/onion rings are also huge portions. A must stop when in OB!

This place is fun! I can see why it's so popular. Burger was delicious, their double bacon cheeseburger is gigantic! I shared with my husband, and still had some leftover. The bump-down to 4-stars is because when it comes to a burger joint, the automatic comparitor is In-N-Out. And given pricing, quality, and returnability, nothing beats the all-too-known fast food joint. But Hodad's is good! And the service was great! If in the area, we'd come back again. As with Ocean Beach in general, parking always sucks... but hey, if you're lucky!

Good food. Service subpar. Quick to come inside the restaurant but we waited for a server for a while which is no problem if they didnt take the orders of and get the food to people who came in after us mind you they are a huge party of 10. We asked for a server a man said someone else will come to you. Spoiler no one did. No hair nets seen on the long haired men either. At least tie that mane back. Had to leave early not that we wanted too. Its infuriating watching a large family be served and eat before my small family of THREE. Horrible.

Had a accidental experience with hot sauce exploding on my friend and I and the workers were extremely apologetic, and kind. Made sure to bring us wet towels and water and kept checking on us, they added in a free milkshake and compt our meals. Extremely kind people

The service was great & the food was also great. Highlight recommended when you are around pacific beach & although the line could be long , but the food was delicious and it is worth it

We love Hodad's. The burgers are huge and delicious. The onion rings are massive and the potato wedge fries are tasty. Hodad's is full of culture and fun place to visit. Totally the California surf vibe!! The staff are friendly and take good care of you. Totally fun place to eat!

The Blue Jay was amazingly messy and delicious! Eric was a fantastic server. Warm, friendly and accommodating. We felt like family! The vibe inside was so chill. Great ambiance!

I have been here several times throughout the years and it rarely disappoints. Service has always been great, and the food is just as good as it looks. Finding parking can sometimes come as a challenge depending on the time of day and the time of year. The line can sometimes seem long, but it has always moved quickly for me. Overall, if you are in the area and feel like treating yourself, it is definitely worth a visit.
