Wow. The vibes of this spot were absolutely immaculate. It definitely seems like a great spot for dinner and drinks or a special event. We ordered the octopus, fish and chips, and both catches of the day - wahoo and yellowtail - with the pomegranate side. The octopus was delicious, featuring a hearty portion in a creamy nutty sauce. The fish and chips was also super tender, featuring battered rockfish paired with chips. The catches of the day were grilled and honestly a little over cooked for our liking. However, the pomegranate based side was absolutely delicious - my jaw dropped. I personally preferred the yellowtail over the wahoo. The service was a little slow but the food came out super quickly. We also felt like our waiter wasn't the most attentive but otherwise we enjoyed our meal.

It was in the afternoon and I hadn't made a reservation at the restaurant. I decided to walk in instead. The place wasn't very busy at the time, but the staff member who greeted us directed us to a corner of the bar where nobody else was sitting. All of the other customers were seated on the right side of the restaurant, and there were free tables available elsewhere. I felt like we weren't welcome there, because of our appearance or financial situation and also of our race. Despite the quality of the food, the service we received was discriminatory. This incident occurred eight years ago.

Super bad service! The waiters have attitude, inattentive and rude! Never going back!

The food and service were excellent. My wife, daughter and I are from out of town and I wish we had come a few days earlier so we would have time to go back. You must have the clam chowder and the ironside bread.

Our first time eating here!! Wow!! We enjoyed everything from our drunks, appetizers and especially our main dish.
The restaurant is worth itself for the ambience, what an amazing decoration. With the piraña skulls on one side and the gorgeous bar wall with the lamps imitating tentacles, it is truly amazing. I would say go at night to feel the atmosphere a lil better.Besides that, the food was also incredible, the lobster roll was the best one I've ever had in my life.Truly worth a visit

We were there to celebrate my son's birthday. We were sat by a person that didn't know what king of Gin they carried nor did she know much about anything. She wasn't very attentive and almost acted like a cleaning lady manager that had an accent as if she was Mexican or Spanish. I'm Hispanic and she didn't seem to know what she was doing. We had to flag several people down as she never came back to check on us and we spent over $300. With just 3 of us. Not impressed at all.

Phenomenal! The drinks are reasonably priced, $12 for a cocktail is almost unheard of these days in San Diego! Service was pretty good, friendly but lagging a bit at times. The food was TO DIE FOR. So so so so good! We loved everything we had ... the ironside bread and butter, oysters, shrimp aguachile and the fish sandwich. It's hard to compare raw fish to cooked, the oysters were super fresh .. I think the fish sandwich may have been our favorite!
Service was pretty bad, granted we were a larger party of 7 but we rarely saw our server and when we did she seemed annoyed and like she was half listening to us. A friend in my party had a garlic allergy, which she notified the server of as well, and unfortunately, was still served a dish with garlic...food and drinks took forever. Ended up there for 3 hours doing a lot of waiting
Happy Hour Oysters = ?. Super fresh, BRING OUT THE OCEAN!The clam chowder absolutely hit the spot, sensationalClam chowder and 8 oysters only 13$!! Steal!!

The restaurant is racist. We order some oysters and wait for about half an hour. Other people who ordered later than us got their oysters for only about five minutes. The waiter and the manager are racism. Never should you enter this restaurant.

The food was good, and value for price was too. The service was really slow, from the time we sat down. It's hard to tell how much of that was our server vs. the whole 'team' approach they use.
