Definitely will return! What a great find. Not your typical diner. It has excellent food and wine, excellent service. And no additional hidden service charge. We had dinner, but everything on the menu looked so good that we want to try breakfast next.
Honestly, Jo's is a 4.5, so I rounded up. The BEST sausage gravy biscuits in San Diego (downhill alert for Hob Nob). The biscuits were small, tender, fully cooked and good enough to eat plain. Jo's solved the "why does sausage in sausage gravy taste overcooked?". The gravy is a creamy white sauce topped with scallions and freshly cooked, flavorful sausage. My husband and I live in Arizona and saw Jo's on Drive In Diners and Dives. It did not disappoint! French press coffee. Breakfast was excellent!!! Service was friendly and fast. We will be back this week before we leave for home!
