We decided to come over to Point Loma today for lunch.Arrived at noon and was greeted by a very bubbly Claudia. It was not very busy which we really appreciated as we were able to sit out on the patio without a crowd. We ordered a chicken and beef tostada along with a very tasty lemonade, Ginger mint drink. The tostadas were good but less iceberg lettuce and more beans please next time.Service was quick and efficient. We really enjoyed the crispy chips with the warm nacho sauce and salsa.
Went on a Monday and realized it was their happy hour $5 Monday ..great food.. Their ultimate margarita was great. The manager was a pleasant lady who took our initial order.. was probably making up for the lack of servers
I feel like they were understaffed tonight and usually do better than this. Food was a bit cold, service was so slow we waited 15 minutes for our water. But again I think we just caught them on an off night, so three stars
I had a hankering for fish tacos so stopped in here for lunch. There was a bit of a wait, maybe 20 minutes, but they text you when ready, so you can walk around a bit. There was a neat nautical themed book and gift store near by. The restaurant is great with a cool second story outdoor dining area. The fish tacos were awesome and just what I needed!
We just love Miguel's at any location never a miss on yummyness..... we have been dining at Miguel's for a very long time. The service is always spot on, wait staff helpful, drinks are good, area clean.... we dined at the Shelter Island location only had a 10 minute wait, service was quick, food came to our table hot... plenty of parking on Sunday as you can use the banks parking area and only a few minutes to restaurant... no complaints from anyone who dined with us. Next time you're out on Shelter Island stop in...
Food was yummy I had their fajitas and their pomegranates sangria. Delicious. There's salsa is Smokey and to die for. Their queso is okay I've had better but it's edible. Their service is slow but the food was worth waiting for it was time that I could spend with my family.
Was super busy, but they got our large party in pretty fast and it was delicious.
Great service! Great food!Able to handle large groups!
This was recommended by our hotel and it was a good food expirence. Their calamari appetizer was so good. The staff was friendly and it had a pleasant vibe.
They saved my daughter's Birthday dinner. We were visiting from out of state, and we couldn't find anywhere that takes reservations. Every place we went was over an hour wait in Old Town. Headed back to hotel, and came across this cute little place. The best part was they had my daughter's favorite dessert, that we can't hardly find anywhere Mudd Pie. Tanner was our server, and he was attentive, and friendly. Thank you all for a fabulous evening.
Very good food and the prices weren't bad. It was very loud and busy. I highly recommend the beef chimichanga.
Was a very good dining experience, my Ahi Ahi tuna tacos were very delicious, well seasoned and fresh , I also had a coconut margarita and that was so great, parking isn't that great so be prepared, we had a large party, all went well, , 13 people for $221., not bad .
Phone service was like dealing with a bored and dismissive teenager. The website suggested phoning to make a reservation if there were 6 or more. The young man said, "Well, we're not taking reservations." I know we're barely out of covid regulations, but we have some elderly people in our party who use walkers, and a downstairs table would be essential. "You are welcome to come and find a table." OK. "Have a good one."
Best Mex food I have had in a long time. Nothing like this place in SF or Sacramento. Went there during happy hour and fantastic all around
I would like to begin by saying that Miguel's Cocina is definitely not bad. I would actually like to say that the food there is pretty good. I ordered the Calamari Rellono, I liked it a little bit, but I could've done with a little less calamari on it. The chips, salsa, and cheese sauce were all very good, but not the best that I've ever had. Overall I would like to say that my visit to Miguel's Cocina was a pleasant experience, the staff was super friendly and the views from the upper deck were extraordinary, but based on my meal I would say that the food is decent and I would probably have given it a better rating had I gotten something else on the menu.
