This place is my go to when I don't wanna cook. They never disappoint. My favorites are the basil fried rice, curry and spicy noodles and The mock duck is one of the best I've tried in San Diego crispy and soft the perfect texture. I order a lot for pick up. Parking can be difficult but not terrible if you don't mind a short stroll. The staff have always been attentive and friendly. Love this place
Amazing vegetarian and vegan food! I myself am not either one of those, however I do enjoy vegetarian food, and this is one of the best places for that. Their fried tofu always has the perfect amount of crispness to it all while capturing such bursts of seasons and flavors. Their rice comes out in such an adorable heart shape whuch matches the energy of the place itself!
Overall great foods. When ever order there they seemed to usually have the best Vegetarian food in San Diego. Also friendly staff and great customer service skills.
This was my first time dining here and it is truly one of the best vegan/vegetarian restaurants I have ever tried! I got the vegan chicken with the spicy noodles and it was juicy and delicious! A lot of vegan chickens I have tried tend to be dry but this one was not at all! My friends who are not vegan also really enjoyed the vegan chicken and duck! The rice was also in the shape of a heart, which was super cute! The pomegranate iced tea is a must!!! Service: The staff were super kind!!! Always checking up on us and smiled while serving us, which made the whole experience amazing! Will definitely come back!
This place has so much deliciousness on the menu. This plant based restaurant was a winner. We also ordered the appetizer sampler with our entrees and enjoyed the sidewalk seating.
My favorite thai place in SD so far!! Every dish I got here was amazing and I came back three days later because it was so good :) Spicy Noodle with Mock Duck: Had so much flavor and the mock duck was the perfect addition. There were a good amount of vegetables as well but not too much. I got level 5 for spiciness which was definitely on the spicier side so make sure to adjust that to your liking. Satay Chicken: The texture of this vegan chicken was perfect and it tasted so good with the peanut sauce! Flower Cups: Never had anything like this before but it was really good. The shells/cups were crispy and the filling was seasoned well. Spicy Basil Fried Rice: I get this dish at almost every Thai restaurant, but it was definitely the best at Plumeria. The rice was really flavorful, but make sure your cautious with the spiciness level for this one as well!
Flavorful veggie and vegan food!!!
This is a great place in a cool neighborhood! Everything we had here was wonderful, including the food, service, presentation, decor, etc. The only problem was that I was so relaxed and happy that I ate too much of the yummy food.
Get the deserts (mango sticky rice and bua Loy) and the chicken satay skewers! Don’t be afraid to get the tempura chicken in your drunken noodles. Love plumeria ❤️
I have plumeria wayyyy in the past and it was okay. So it's been years and I was impressed by how much I liked the food. We ordered level 3 spice on both and it was pretty spicy for our palettes but still good. The green curry had great coconut sweet savory flavor and the cashew and mixed bean went surprisingly well together. We will definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu.
I asked my buddy from Thailand who had the best Thai food in San Diego and he recommended Plumeria. We had the thai samosas to start and shared the see-ew with fried tofu and spicy noodles with vegan chicken. I also had a Thai iced coffee which I really enjoyed. All the food was excellent and I'll definitely be back again!
I've now ordered takeout twice. Both times have been unmemorable. The concept of eating vegetarian once in awhile is appealing. But there are so many other options available, that it is unlikely I'll return here.
7/15/21: Bottom line up front (BLUF)- eat here, it's good. Though it is vegetarian you can add shrimp and chicken to certain dishes. We had immediate seating at 5pm out front next to sidewalk. The Tom yum soup (10/10). Papaya salad 1/10 was too spicy and just doesn't taste good. The spring rolls rocked and were fresh as you can get (9/10). The pad Thai with shrimp was flavorful and the chicken was done right (8/10). The green curry tasted like the ones in Thailand (10/10). Priced well so good value.
Pumpkin curry, green curry, brown rice, summer salad = All awesome. Menus looks awesome, can't wait to try all the different dishes for sure. UPDATE: added the banana caramel egg roll, my goodness.... 10/10
2nd time here and this place proves to be amazing again. I absolutely love it here. Great service amazing food. Super dank.
