Great atmosphere, service and food. Planning another dinner with friends!
Great place! Food is all made in the restaurant and it’s delicious!
Always a wonderful experience. Family owned by folks who really care for their patrons. Excellent wine list nit to mention outstanding food.
Always outstanding, great variety. I love that Rosina personally comes to every table to explain the specials. Atmosphere is lovely and noise level allows for conversation. Overall, a delicious meal, love the atmosphere, and always a great experience.
Our second visit to Rosina while visiting SD's North County and we can't imagine being in the area and NOT going to Rosina. Just great Italian food. The lasagna will make your eyes roll back in your head.
Incredible home made food
Really upset to be leaving this review. A few weeks I came with some friends and we had a fantastic experience. Tonight, my husband and I made reservations for 7:15 to celebrateout wedding anniversary. We arrived 5 minutes early and were told that there weren't any tables available unless we wanted to sit at the bar or a high top. We agree to wait for the next table, an estimated 15 minutes. After 15 minutes and watching a group of 6 and a group of 3 get seated, we go up and ask about a table. She said she gave priority to those groups because they were larger. She again offers a high top and when we say refuse that again, she steps inside for a bit and suddenly a 4 seater table is available. This table doesn't seem like it was set up for guests. It was located right between two sets of kitchen doors, smelled like an old rag, and despite being a 4 person table there were only two chairs. It really seemed like they cleared off a busing table and set it up for us. We decided just to leave. We drove 45 minutes to eat here and left after 20 minutes with nothing to show for it. I don't understand the point of taking reservations of they aren't going to be honored. Happy Anniversary to us.

Delicious and so welcoming
Don't be fooled by the Yelp pictures of the indoor space, it is completely staged. The food is way below mediocre. You can judge Italian place by its bread and I think it is store bought, dry and old. Every dish they serve, you can see they try to cut corners and charge you way more than what the food worth. We ordered calamari and it was extremely rubbery and had to send it back. Eggplant parm is not even fully cooked. Unfortunately there was nothing decent on the menu that I could recommend. It is a backyard restaurant for the Del Sur neighborhood and should not claim anything about being Italian. The owner/cook should visit Bueno Forcehtta and learn how Italian food should taste.
My kids really enjoyed this restaurant. It is situated across a small pretty park with a beautiful view of sunset. The food and service were both amazing. My kids want to go back tomorrow. ;-)
Absolutely delicious, you say the best lasagna (Thursdays) I'm not sure if it was the best but is the best I can remember, highly recommend.
The BEST of EVERYTHING! Great service and drinks. Wonderful menu and the choice of specials were OUTSTANDING. Main course and dessert were DELICIOUS!
This is a local Italian spot that makes everyone feel like family AND happens to have the best Italian food this side of the Mississippi! Being from NYC, THIS is where I take all of our visitors and it has never disappointed. The Arancini is to die for and although their regular menu is fabulous, I find myself almost always ordering from the specials menu because they are just that, special. This week the specials we tried were the lasagna (a Thursday only specialty that the whole neighborhood turns out for) a homemade ravioli stuffed with chicken in a light Tom cream sauce and veal parmigiana. This was very special because it is my husband’s favorite and very hard to find the way we like it here in SD. Many places offer it, but it is a disappointing veal patty, not at Rosina’s, she had the most perfect veal scallopini that we have had since moving to SD, 17 years ago! My daughter’s favorite, the Rosetta is always a hit and even my picky spectrum teen, loves that they customize their homemade pastas for him with some butter abs fresh Parmesan. This is a great spot whether for a family dinner or a date night. The outdoor seating is absolutely lovely and their wine list will encourage you to stay a while, as will the welcoming and attentive staff.
The food here was awful! We got three different dishes and all tasted under-cooked, we couldn't eat any of it
