Very disappointing experience. The pasta dishes we had were all very poorly executed and one was wrong, service was slow and uneven. Hopefully, it was just a bad night, but seeing other dishes that came out it did not look much better.

Friendly, family oriented neighborhood Italian restaurant. Seating, ambiance, and wait staff were exceptional. The food was served hot and delicious. The relaxed atmosphere allowed us to enjoy our meal. We highly recommend the Villa Capri Ristorante.

Everything was absolutely phenomenal. The service, the food, the drinks - everything. Even our token Italian was impressed with everything. We lucked out completely with our server. Even leftovers the next day were remarkable. We absolutely plan on coming back.

This was our third visit and all three have been wonderful. The food is delicious and plentiful. We feel the menu offers choices for any mood or craving and the specials have been tempting and have lived up to their billing. The service provided by Brian and his team was absolutely top notch. Villa Capri Ristorante is our new favorite for "Date Night".

My daughter and her boyfriend recommended this restaurant. The service by Brian was the highlight of the evening. The food was average. The tiramisu and cappuccino were very good. If I could give 3 1/2 stars for food I would. The restaurant is in a strip mall, and minimally decorated. The presentation of our dishes was below average, especially for the price. The best part of our night was our server, Brian. He was very attentive and friendly, and made us feel very welcome. I just wish the food was better than average.

Another good meal. Server says Owner will not renew lease & CLOSE this location soon & focus on her other Del Mar eatery. Always 1/4 full for dinner when I go. Focusing on 1 biz best , especially nowadays with high biz costs & overhead.

Villa Capri is a family favorite! Always amazing food and great service! You feel like an extension of the family! The food is delicious and they happily help us customize for kids with no sauce or cheese on the side. The lasagna is amazing! The appetizers are on point- can’t go wrong with the capers or burrata salad… the margarita or other wood fired pizzas… and the specials are amazing- especially the scallops! The veal piccata was also mouth watering delicious! Highly recommend! Oh and save room for dessert!!

From the moment we arrived, the service staff were pleasant and welcoming. Our table was perfect, as was our waiter. The food was exceptional and served hot. We chose the calamari appetizer followed by the osso buco and crab ravioli. We highly recommend both. The evening was perfect, and we will return.

We had a 10-person family dinner for our Christmas visitors at Villa Capri - Carmel Valley. As with our two previous visits, the welcome and service provided by the team is terrific—they could teach classes! Everyone enjoyed the calamari and fresh bread with butter, then we moved on to our delicious entrees—ravioli with lemon sauce, linguini with clams, chicken parmesan, a calzone for our teen nephew—just a few favorites. Finally, we shared chocolate mousse and cannoli, which were fantastic. We’d like to come again right away, but will have to wait like temperate grown-ups with limited budgets and metabolisms.Kid-friendliness: Our granddaughter, a toddler, did just fine—but her parents brought some supplementary food and a couple of entertainment items for her. If I were with a more energetic or noisy child, I’d prefer to sit on the patio.

This is a neighborhood gem. The staff, service and food is consistently great. I love that the pasta is cooked all dente and special requests are welcomed. Ample parking is a plus! They can be busy on weekends. Make a reservation.

Very good food, nice locally owned restaurant and great wait staff including Brian.Mondays are no corkage fee so it was pretty busy, Tuesdays are 50 % off select bottles of wine. We shared two salads, had salmon, chicken piccata and linguine with scallops and clams and shared creme brûlée for dessert.Everything was delicious.

Brian is an excellent seasoned server. Good recommendations, especially on the wine. He was attentive and patient. I wouldn't recommend the Carbonara (it was just too plain) but the fettucine Bolognese was delicious!

Absolutely wonderful place. Great food and the service is outstanding.I took a couple of coworkers and we had a feast. The Ziti al Forno was to die for. My coworker had the Fettuccine Bolognese and the Ravioli Limone. Everything looked and tasted great. Intimate setting, nice little patio and the staff was awesome. I'll definitely be back.
