Yesterday I returned to Batter for another chocolate mint cookie. I won't do this every week because it won't be as special if I do. For me, in order for something to be a treat it must be occasional. Along w/ the cookie I picked up a couple of scones for future breakfasts to put in the freezer, one lemon-currant, the other plum and almond, I think. I look forward to trying them. And I took photos of the three so you can see them.
Batter Bakery might be known for their little kiosks, but I live close to what I think is their main bakery. These folks know what they are doing. They have plenty of offerings. It's done on a very high level but not quite elite. If you are in need of sweets and you are nearby then this is your spot. I've had a couple of their cookies and some of their little dessert bars. I’m gluten free and egg free and they have delicious options! I discovered them at a market event in which they had a table selling their baked items. Normally, I can never find bakeries that do both gluten and egg free, but the lady was quick to confirm they had options and then walked me through about 5 different items that lined up with my dietary restrictions.
