Bella Trattoria offers a delightful dining experience that captures the essence of Italian cuisine with finesse. Nestled in a charming corner of the city, the ambiance exudes warmth and sophistication, making it an ideal spot for both intimate dinners and lively gatherings. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by friendly staff who are eager to ensure your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. The menu boasts a tempting array of traditional Italian dishes, each crafted with care using fresh, high-quality ingredients.Start your meal with an appetizer like the bruschetta, bursting with the flavors of ripe tomatoes and fragrant basil atop crusty bread. For the main course, the homemade pasta dishes are a standout, particularly the rich and velvety fettuccine Alfredo or the classic spaghetti carbonara. For those craving something heartier, the tender osso buco served with creamy risotto is a must-try. Pair your meal with a selection from their extensive wine list, curated to complement the flavors of the cuisine perfectly.Save room for dessert, as the tiramisu is not to be missed – a heavenly combination of espresso-soaked ladyfingers layered with creamy mascarpone and dusted with cocoa.Overall, Bella Trattoria delivers an authentic Italian dining experience that satisfies both the palate and the soul, making it a standout destination for lovers of Italian cuisine.

The food is average for the prices you pay. They charged $20 for a penne pasta with butter and shredded cheese for my 5 year old, which is twice some of the kids menus that include dessert and a drink. The squid ink pasta with seafood was decent for $40.The pizza was really saggy and would not pass the eye test in Italy. The crust was undercooked and would not hold the toppings.I would suggest trying some of the seafood restaurants at the Wharf for a much better value. The service is friendly otherwise and the atmosphere is good enough to have a casual meal and drinks (although at premium prices).

One of my favorite restaurants in SF and probably my favorite Italian spot in the city. The gnocchi is always amazing, so soft and pillowy and delicious. The pana cotta is one of the best I’ve had, a must get if you like pana cotta. The carbonara is also delicious.Service is top tier and the interior and vibes are super nice. Great birthday dinner or date spot. Highly recommend.

A great Italian restaurant! It's fancy, but not too fancy, which is a good thing. The staff are always friendly, cheerful, and always take good care of us.

The food was so bland! How can an Italian restaurant make carbonara taste so bland?! The tomato sauce for kids is so sweet!I don't recommend this place if you're looking for a decent Italian restaurant.

We celebrated my Mom's birthday at Bella. The staff was amazing and very attentive. They really made my Mom's dinner celebration one to remember! The food was delicious! We were all raving about the meatballs to start, the lasagna, the oxtail pappardelle, and the black squid gnocchi. The team at Bella added to the celebration with a birthday toast and panna cotta! I used to live down the street from Bella and was so thankful to return and have it be just as amazing as I remember!

The place was really cute but wow the food was so bland and disappointing. I'm pretty sure they didn't use any seasoning. Really disappointed based on the price as well. Only good thing was the drinks!
