The food was incredible. The best filet mignon we've ever had! All the courses were delicious and exceeded our expectations. It was so nice to be in a full restaurant again! We had a wonderful evening and will be back!

Love what Phillipe and Helen have built over the last 28 years - a great bistro with top-notch food, wine and service. Low key, within a classic tradition of excellence, Chapeau! is a gem. A must try, which leads to adoption as a fav. Sweetbreads, cod, beef filet - all superbly prepared and presented. Deserts are something else. The “pain perdu” (French toast) was a find - must confess I would not have chosen it, but its accompanying hazelnut sauce was the perfect complement for this French classic. Love this bistro.

My first time here, this bistrot did not disappoint! Every single dish we tried was outstanding. I highly recommend the beet salad with creamy goat cheese, the filet mignon and the French toast for dessert (we tried 4 desserts & this was everyone's top favorite).

We love going to this restaurant, and usually go there for special occasions. The food is always excellent, the service very attentive and a charming environment. The owner also is always available and engages with his customers. One feels like that they are enjoying a meal in a Parisian restaurant. I highly recommend it. Arlene Helfand
Everything was 10/10. The sea bass was some of the best fish I've had, the sauce was incredible. The mussels and fries were also a standout. The desserts were delicious but very sweet. The cocktails were also a little sweet but we still enjoyed everything. Service was great. A gem neighborhood spot!

Got there early for a 5:45 reservation. Had a great corner semi booth that our three ladies were on, and the two guys were in chairs. Menu was fabulous. I just didn't know that it was Prix Fixe but could be A la Carte, but once our waiter explained it we were fine. The dozen oysters were great. The golden and red beet with goat cheese salad was wonderful, the filet mignon that I ordered rare plus WAS rare plus. And the special Potato Au Gratin was tasty goodly wonderful. Best I've ever had. Two of the others loved their fish entrees, and for the other two the pork entre, and the mushroom risotto were big hits as well. And we ordered the 5 desserts and shared. SOOO many great choices. I told the Maitre'D that it was WORTH the hour and 15 minute drive from the North Bay!!

Always a delight to return to Chapeau. Chef greeted us and sat us and the food was delightful. I had the black Cod and it wasnot my favorite dish but I sure ate the whole thing!!!! You can't go wrong with the pork, filet, or duck. The starters were delish and desserts, as always top notch. We love Chapeau and tell all of our friends to get there Thank you for a delightful evening
Always a wonderful time when I eat here. I've lived in the neighborhood my whole life and this is one of the best restaurants in the area. The service is outstanding, the owner noticed we left after paying, before he was able to check in with us, and he popped out the front door and made sure we were happy as we left. Food is amazing, and it was a packed house even on the day after Valentine's Day! I love to see this establishment buzzing and full of people.

This is a fantastic restaurant. What a find. Incredible food full of flavors, each course is better than the next. And the people who own and work at the restaurant are fabulous. We will definitely be back.

Never disappointing, this is my third time at Chapeau in the past year. The owner and his wife are so gracious and friendly. They welcome you as if you were a guest in their home. The bartender makes amazing cocktails with fresh, interesting ingredients. The food is delicious, innovative and memorable. The entire vibe is sophisticated. When I go to Chapeau I feel..... debonair! Love it.
