Came here for dinner with family. Some of us ordered the fettuccine, pappardelle and rigatoni. Food was flavorful and tasty. My rigatoni was too al dente , and actually tasted harder compared to the other pasta dishes. Service was slower but there was only one person, I’m assuming the owner - older man. He was very nice and attentive as best he could’ve been but clearly he needed help so we just had to be patient. The restaurant wasn’t full but he was clearly busy. We also ordered dessert and that was good as well. I would recommend and go again.

It is a good little neighborhood restaurant. It is never full and should be easy to get a table. The food and wine are nice. I liked the NY stake and sangowesy wine. The only gentleman working the tables is very nice and friendly. However, it is not easy to do everything by one person, so the service may be a little slow. Not too bad though.

We had an enjoyable meal at Manzoni. The food was good, the ambience was very nice, and it really is a charming neighborhood restaurant. The service was quite relaxed – almost too relaxed – but it was a super quiet night for the restaurant so I can understand why. The food is good, although the prices are getting higher, like everything in San Francisco.

We have enjoyed this restaurant many times in the past. Tonight we ordered online, paid, and arrived to pick up at the appointed time, with the receipt on my phone to prove it. The owner seemed embarrassed and clearly had not seen the order come in. Instead of apologizing and making it good, he proceeded to help people who came in after me, and shrugged his shoulders and said it wasn't his fault when I asked him what we should do now. I did then insist that he help me, at which point he refused, and I left. I understand that he was busy and embarrassed at whatever failure happened in their systems or in the back, but this was not minimally decent customer service. By the time I got home the order had been cancelled online, which clearly means he did finally find the order and he cancelled it after I left. Sad. I won't trust them with an order again.

Very cute neighborhood spot, and the pasta itself was clearly fresh. However I thought the price was high for what it was. I wasn't that into the sauce in either dish we got. It's walking distance from us so I'll probably give it one more try.

Manzoni is a great neighborhood restaurant serving Italian food. My friend and I shared two dishes, fettucine and clams ($24) and a special, grilled salmon ($38). Both were very good - the fettucine was fresh and the salmon was well-seasoned and cooked with a slight crust. We also shared a tiramisu ($12) that was delicious and well-prepared. It's a family-friendly restaurant, which meant there were several tables with small kids who were sometimes a little loud, but generally well-behaved. My only complaint is that the space was very cold and we had to put on our down jackets. The server said that the heat was on, but was sucked up by the kitchen vents. However, I didn't see any heating vents in the dining room, which made me question his explanation. I'd recommend Manzoni, but wear appropriate clothing is you go on a cold night.

This is the second time we went - it was a Friday night. Only one waiter for a full room of diners. He ran his feet off and was able to keep his sense of humor and take care of everyone. The food is excellent - every bite was savored. Our suggested would be to go early, order before the crowds arrive. Note that the acoustics of the place can be very loud when the place is full. It reminded us of a small restaurant we went to in France, carved out, set below a plaza, esthetically pleasing but voices bounce off the walls.

The portions were perfect. The grilled NY Strip was exactly right. The salad was simple yet fresh with the perfect number of Kalamata olives.I could have a conversation without yelling. The service was unobtrusive; we found out later that our waiter was the owner.Just a really nice experience all the way around.

The people serving us were super cute. A little overwhelmed on a Friday night but they were so sweet it didn't really matter. My girl had a tasty pesto pasta and my salmon was good but all in all a little overly salted. Very cosy and quiet place to talk on a rainy night :)

Three of us Had an enjoyable meal. Enjoyed starters (prosciutto, eggplant and the Gorgonzola salad). Generous portions. Had a delightful Chianti with our meal. Entrees were also tasty and generous, including gnocchi, puttanesca pasta and the special salmon dish. We tried two desserts and left feeling satisfied. Our server was very attentive and gracious. This is a terrific neighborhood spot.

Lovely neighborhood spot, with really excellent food at good prices. Portions weee much larger than most restaurants in SF serving food of this quality at this price. Ambiance is warm and welcoming.

Lovely dining experience with outstanding food and warm, attentive service from owner, who works very hard to serve the entire dining room. Would be nice to see some more value options on the somewhat pricey wine list.
