Big fan of Modern Thai on Polk St! I've taken two good college friends here and we always have a blast. It's a good location walking-distance to a few concert venues and bars. They have a pretty good takeout business but I've only eaten inside.Would recommend the pad thai, beef noodle soup (and other soups--very good broth and a nice amount of meat!), fresh spring rolls (especially with shrimp!), and Thai Iced Tea!Service is prompt and fun.
Had a really great dinner and time at this restaurant. The food was so good, we came back twice in two days. Absolutely delicious, both the food and the drinks. I especially loved the Lemonade Thai Iced Tea and the Crispy Fried chicken. Plus our waiter was incredibly nice. We are not from the area but I hope we will be back one day!

Great food and value for money! We ordered a pad Thai and a pad sew, good portion and really tasty. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the sauce flavourful.Both dishes were at only $12 for a significant portion.Service was quick and nice.Would definitely go back for a quick and tasty lunch.
