Piccolo Forno is our go-to Italian gem in San Francisco! Every visit feels like a culinary adventure, with phenomenal service and a staff that goes above and beyond. The food is simply divine, showcasing the freshest ingredients and flavors that transport you straight to Italy. And even our furry friend approves—the meatballs were a hit with our dog! Piccolo Forno truly is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine in the city.

What a great value and quick place to get dinner. Ended up here after another rsvp went up in flames and was pleasantly surprised. It’s good value. Not Michelin star pasta but better than chains. Was super pleasantly surprised! Bonus: ability to swap out to gluten free pasta.

This is my new favorite italian restaurant in San Francisco. The pasta is amazing. All the food is made with fresh ingredience. For having really authentic top notch pastas, you get alotta food for good prices.. The tiramisu is authtic and sooooo good. I judge Italian restaurants by there Tiramisu and the tiramisu here is the best i've had in a long long time.

Love this place! Delicious food! Excellent service and nice atmosphere!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: Gluten free pasta and pizza.
The food is delicious, good portions too. The staff were super nice and helpful. I recommend asking for their suggestions if you are not sure. I had the Ravioli Al Funghi, and I loved it. Their specials were quite good too. Also, maybe don't order Alfredo :D I think it is too authentic of a place to order Alfredo. One of us tried to order and they suggested another dish which worked great at the end. Overall, a pleasant experience. Definitely recommended.

Piccolo is phenomenal in every regard. Let's start fromm the food. Fresh ingredients put together in a straight-forward way but there's an elegance to it. It's not just a thoughtless amalgamation and mixture. The ceasar salad is poised and structured. The burrata isn't shy but welcoming. The pizzas were near perfect and hearty. Both the spicy pepperoni and the funghi had their own character, to a degre where one can't imagine they were baked from the same shop. Oh, and the pastas... ravioli with butternut squash was magically elegant while the spaghetti was simply great. Now you take this caliber of food in downtown SF, you think potentially you're paying a fortune for it. Well, this is where Picoolo earns its 5 stars. Reasonable pricing without coming across snooty, yet it definitely has class. The atmosphere is definitely the lowest aspect, not because it isn't welcoming, etc but just a bit of a potpourri of various elements - a pizzeria, comfort food, open kitchen, etc.All in all, this place provides a phenomenal experience and a great night out. Absolutely will return.Vegetarian options: Decent selection for vegetarians across pizza, pasta, and salads.
