Usually there is a line and for a good reason: this place executes well on pretty much everything we ordered. Waffles were crisp, fried chicken was crisp, the French toast with custard was mindblowingly good.
At Plain Jane in San Francisco, the brunch experience is both cozy and satisfying. Starting with the crispy potatoes, they were a perfect balance of a golden-brown crust and tender insides, with just the right touch of seasoning to complement the richness of the eggs. The garlic sautéed spinach offered a fresh, aromatic twist that balanced the meal with its delightful greens. This is our favorite breakfast place in the Sfbay area. Get the pistachio latte; the sFlight of sweet pancakes, the French toast, or (my favorite) the Chorizo Scramble. The breakfast potatoes are unmissable, too.Get there early to beat the line.
