Just happened to stumble into this wonderful restaurant on a rainy holiday Sunday evening and couldn't have had a better experience. Our reservation at Original Joe's was getting bumped out 30-45 minutes so we bailed. Lucky us. It was too loud to even talk at Original Joe's. We'll be returning to Trattoria Contradina in the future.Dietary restrictions: They did have some gluten-free options. Yea.
The restaurant is very nice. Looks like they have concern their local charm.Italian food is delicious. Basically everything is very typical Italian cuisine.All the pastas are delicious and very delicious cheese dishes.I want to try many dishes and everything was delicious. There were some room for improvement when it came to the gnocchis. This is my favorite italian restaurant in San Francisco, the closest thing you can get to authentic italian cuisine. The environment is very cozy (that of a traditional trattoria), and the staff is super friendly & helpful, Milo is the best :)
