I met a friend here for dinner. I had high hopes for this place based on their menus and reviews I've seen. It ended up being a mixed experience.First and foremost, our waiter was very attentive and friendly. The pasta dishes we tried were also on point. Cook on the pasta was perfect; sauce level was balanced, and shrimps were also cooked perfectly. Last week my wife and I had a really nice dinner here. Nice menu, great food, superb service, reasonable prices, easy parking. Non-chain “Fine” dining options are scarce in S. San Jose, so this was a good discovery for us; we’ll likely visit again.

Bistro Tupaz was a nice surprise. It is a restaurant in a small shopping mall of Santa Teresa serving French and European dishes. I had a bavette steak you don't easily find in restaurants and it was delicious. Even if it was slightly overcooked, the meat was tender and tasty. Cassoulet was great. We had fresh beignets for dessert, a true treat with warm chocolate sauce. Friendly service, as it was my husband's birthday we also left with an extra raspberry pie at no charge.
