It's hard to find gluten-free Asian restaurants for my wife, who has celiac disease. On a recent trip to San Jose, we came across this little spot. The prices are a little steep for the portions you get...but I guess it is located downtown... The meats are pretty tasty, but the veggies/banchan toppings are quite bland. Wow! What an amazing Korean food experience. I love Korean food and especially being a vegetarian, there are one or two Korean spots in south bay that I regularly go where they offer vegetarian and vegan choices. HoM Korean Kitchen is one of them. It's typically the Chipotle style of fill your bowl with your choices type of restaurant. This has been my go to for years. Just so many tasty and healthy options and they allow you to mix varoius bases (eg quinoa or mixed grains and proteins like chicken or tufu). And they recently significantly lowered their price as well (have no idea how)! You can get a filling, tasty, nutritious meal for under $10!
