“It never fails, I find a place I love but they are 30 minutes away! I live in San Martin but Lolla's is worth the drive. I currently can only eat pureed food due to a surgery and the soups at Lolla's are amazing!! Bring back the carrot ginger soup!! So tasty and I love that there are soups with NO CREAM. I am lactose intolerant and finding good soup without cream can be a challenge. My husband and daughter have tried a few of the sandwiches and love them. The 3-pack of chocolate chip cookies had my family in cookie heaven. Great sandwich shop and friendly employees!”

“Ok..so this is the lunch truck right off of HWY 101 and 129. I be stopped by a few times now..great breakfast burrito..but their best is the tacos con papas! One of my coworkers got their cell number so we just call our order in..wait 10 minutes and head out to pick them up. Always nice hot and ready. Prices are reasonable and he always has people lined up to buy, which is always a good sign. So far everything we have ordered ha been made to order, fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend!”

“A great place for drinks in San Juan Bautista! Beer, wine, and alcoholic slushies! Some cool indoor seating with window bar seating makes for fun people watching, and a sweet beer garden with ample seating - if you're lucky, there will be some live entertainment and dancing! Beer and wine list are diverse and have something for everyone. They have a charcuterie board that is well worth the money and plentiful. Prices are not overinflated. And service is uncompromising in this family owned and operated establishment. Whether taking a break from antiquing, passing though, or as a destination, 18th Barrel will not disappoint. “Was walking around a downtown fair and saw a sign for pineapple dole whip, couldn't pass that up. Inside I learned that they also have pomegranate whip so I'll have to go back. The shop was extremely crowded with bodies but the wonderful employee saw me right away and had a big cone in my hand at the cash register within 2 minutes. The icing on top of a quaint afternoon in San Juan Bautista.”

“I'll admit that my husband and I are very picky when it comes to restaurants, it's only because my husband is such a great cook! It's rare that we ever want to come back to a restaurant, but we will be back, for sure! SJB is a charming town and small business is what makes this place. Smoke Point is behind the main street, so don't miss it. Parking is easy on the street, seating inside and out. Decor is simple, yet thoughtful, feels comfortable. Beer and drink selection good, but that is not the focus, so great family place. Great menu, I had the brisket waldorf salad, which was tast, fresh, and of generous portion... I had to share with husband. He had the 1/2 pound brisket and a sausage, both were great, but not enough. We thought the food looked lonely on the plate, maybe a larger portion with a side may look more appetizing? The food was so good, we had to try the cornbread and mac n cheese, both were tasty, though the mac n cheese was missing either crunch on top or some ooey gooey cheese. Since the town rolls it in early, it might be a good idea for them to offer a snack menu and stay open for beer and drinks... there is little to do at night, but maybe that's a good thing!”

“Jardine is a fantastic Mexican restaurant! We ate inside because it was a rainy cold day. They have a beautiful large outside patio for summer days with colorful full size umbrellas at the tables to keep cool. They have very lush plants & cactus around the patio. The food is fresh and outstanding! They have specials on their menu of food offerings and drinks. The servers are professional and very good at what they do. I only marked a few items below that are my favorite. All of their food is outstanding.Parking: There is parking available for free on the street. Sometimes it is more busy than other times.”

Hubby order the steak and eggs and wowsers his steak was huge and cooked just right! Didn't realize the Chavelas were going to be huge that we had to share and at $13 for a 48 oz not bad!”

“the food was GREAT! i had the carnitas skillet and everything was cooked perfect carnitas melt in your mouth, potatoes cooked perfect and my eggs were ACTUALLY medium like i asked. The marinated steak breakfast was perfection as well! “This restaurant is very tucked in the corner its small, but spacious! The owner is nice, it was me and my partners first time going. We were excited to hear that there was a Korean style restaurant near by in prundale! We got the spicy pork bulgogi #10 and the #3 sweet and spicy chicken wings, definitely will be going back. Chicken was really crispy and juicy! The bulgogi was just the perfect amount of spice and flavor! Just hope that for the future they have more options of a menu.”

“Ate here for brunch. Their menu has a lot of delicious options and healthy ones too. I ordered an eggs benedict (my usual order wherever I eat) with fruits on the side and a hot chocolate with no whip. The food was really good though the ham was kind of salty for my tastebuds. I still love it and finished everything hence the 5 stars.The ambiance is really nice and has a lot of seating places. Will be back here to try a different food.?”

“Tried it out for the first time. They’ve only been open a week. I did a test order the thin crust and thick. Had Two different types of pizza and chicken wings. The chicken wings were great. They were moist and the sweet chili sauce was finger licking Good (sorry, KFC). Both the pizzas were really great. Everybody in the house. Love them. Finally found a good pizza place in Salinas. There are a lot of pizza places most of them really suck. I presume that it was the owners working the counter, and he was a really nice man. We will be going back.. I’m also going to contact him and let him know how great this was please support local businesses. This is not a chain. This is community people and let’s support our community.”

“I'm been coming to Cafe Con Leche for quite some time and the coffee here is excellent quality and is always consistent, the service was good and there are a variety of different coffees to choose from. Best Coffeeshop in Hollister in my opinion.”
