If you're looking for the best bread around and the friendliest people to talk to. You've found "the bakery." I absolutely love Alex and the staff. My favorite bread is the Dutch Crunch there is a story here. Yes I would drive 86 miles round trip for that all inspiring bread and excellent customer service Edna alone provides. Just make sure you've already made your deli cuts run and have enough soft spread favorite butter around for awhile before hand.
Had their cheese danish while at the Embassy Suites in Lompoc, as they served other pastries to-go (in heat seal plastic wrap) from Edna's during their breakfast buffet. The danish was a little hard and dry. I think if I had toasted it, it would've been very tasty. Well, I brought home a chocolate chocolate chip muffin and I toasted it. OMG. It was so moist and decadent! I bet these are how they taste when they sell them at their store. I can't wait to visit it when I'm in SLO.

Not sure how much I can add to the other 5 star reviews beneath mine - I'm in full agreement :) I can't imagine giving a 1 star review about a cookie, they'd have to be using dog p*** for the chocolate chips for that, I wonder if that's what happened to Andrew ;) The one thing I can add is that the staff is great, I was lucky enough to speak with a very nice woman named Lisa. She was knowledgeable, professional and gracious with her time. Keep up the great work every!
