I wanted to dismiss the lower ratings but they were right. service was okay, fish was not really fresh and tasted a little funky. They gave us very little fish in the large poke bowl. the cali roll that was made was subpar. the drive to san marcos for good poke here was not worth it. there are better places than this.
Had the sushi burrito and gyoza and they were fresh and delicious. I even wanted the Cajun fries but it's a weekend item and he made them for me anyway! Really friendly and great service. It's wonderful having good people running good friendly businesses ? ? ?

Wow! This is a gem. I had lived 23 years in North County San Diego and for the past 2 years passed this place everyday on my way to work at the Carlsbad Library. Well today was my first time trying it, and omg this place is severely underrated. There was no line and pick up orders from Uber Eats or Door Dash every five minutes.
