“Late post from a few weeks ago. Funny enough, even though this place is called the Ravioli House I always find myself ordering a sandwich from there. The pastrami sandwiches are really good and the bread they use is good as well. Sourdough is my ideal match for pastrami but from time to time I'll enjoy the dutch crunch as well. If you want a satisfying sandwich for lunch. I highly recommend this place. Staff is always friendly as well.“
“Found this place to eat by our hotel at the airport in San Francisco last night. Highly recommend everyone to go there if you want a great spot for dinner. Our server Katrina was amazing. She was so attentive and knowledgeable. The food was a combination of all different types of food around Italy. She told us the menu is always changing depending on seasonal ingredients. The wine is all Italian as well and the chef is from northern Italy we were told. The atmosphere was amazing. Great vibe in there and it was packed on a Wednesday night. We loved everything we tried especially the bone marrow, beet salad, tagliatelle, pizza and especially the sheep ricotta doughnuts. I would definitely go back. Probably the best service I have had in Bay Area as well.“
“We had our Italian family gathering at La Lanterna on a Sunday afternoon. They opened specially for our event. I had made all the arrangements in advance with Michael, including the menu. The event went off perfectly and flawlessly. The food, from the appetizers to the deserts was outstanding, especially the gnocchi. This restaurant is a perfect place to have a special event! And there is no charge for the room.“
“Ist time here and impressed. Wanted coffee in a real cup and almond croissant and stayed for the ambiance! Italian music playing in the background and a window seat to view the creek. Talk about relaxing ☺️ A lot of locals here so I know they've found a great spot!!!They offer breakfast and lunch, will have to try these another time. Can imagine this spot with the umbrellas on a summer morning. Give it a try ❤️“
“One of our favorite family restaurants.I've been going there since my internship in 2010, when my son was a wee baby. Now, it's his favorite, comfort food place as a teen. Our favorites: the Greek wines, horiatiki salad, lamb gyros, cheesy garlic breadFresh foodFamiliar service..Bud, Sophia,. MichaelWe also cater from here once a month“
“Smallish, popular Italian restaurant. Bruschetta is not to be missed. Spaghetti is tasty. Lasagna is great. This time I tried a steak - really. And it was really, really good.Parking can be sketchy. Stay is just so very helpful and caring. Highly recommended.“
“The food that I've always considered to be good was actually outstanding. In essence, the only downfall was our service was not as good as usual. It was good, but it's stirred up as a little bumpy. We lack for nothing. The waiters were good about keeping our bread basket full. Our cocktails were superb. The value for your money but today's standards was really good. We will go back soon.“
“At the beginning of the month, we celebrated a friend's b day here & it was an experience I will never forget. I love the casual upscale atmosphere with friendly staff & wonderful food. The polenta some creamy & some of the best I have ever had; this was an appetizer in the multicourse dinner. The frittata was wonderful with fresh vegetables & cheese. The ravioli was aldentae with a wonderful beef filling & zesty marinera sauce. The antipasti was wonderful with olives, salami, & a wonderful assortment of cheeses & bread. My prime rib was wonderful; a little dry, but tender for the most part with freshly sauted green beans. For dessert, our cake was wonderful. I rounded it off with a Peroni & some red wine. Everyone in our party loved everything. The Italian music in the background & piano polayer were both divine. We enjoyed some dancing to some popular songs. It was definitely a night I will never forget & will have to come in for lunch. Keep up the good work guys.“
“The atmosphere is like a nice coffee shop/cafe but the food quality is excellent! The cafe name and the atmosphere are very deceiving. The food brought back memories of our trip to Florence last year! Pasta is fresh, sauces are rich. Had the amatriciana with a unique pasta shape and my husband had the Bolognese. All so fresh and good. The mussels app - excellent! Fresh and the tomato based sauce they were cooked in absolutely required more bread to soak it all up. Prices were extremely reasonable, very limited wine list but don't let that stop you if you want really good, fresh, reasonably priced pasta. Can't wait to go back. They also sell pastas and sauces for you to make at home.“
“I recently tried the Hawaiian pizza at Mr Pizza Man in San Mateo, and it was absolutely delightful! The combination of sweet pineapple, savory ham, and melted cheese created a perfect balance of flavors. The crust was just the right amount of crispy, and the overall quality of the pizza exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend the Hawaiian pizza at Mr Pizza Man for anyone craving a delicious and satisfying pizza experience. It's definitely worth a try!“

“Palo, I hope I spelled his name right, was amazing. He not only took my last minute request to cater fir 40 people, but he came to my job early to set up. Everyone loved the food that they asked for his contact information. He is the best. The food was delicious.“
“North Beach Pizza in San Mateo is a diamond among pizza places near me. The inviting air and different menu set up for a brilliant eating experience. Whether it's an exemplary number one or a specialty pizza, the quality and taste are reliably outstanding, making it a nearby for pizza lovers.“
“Good food . Different style of pancakes which is very yummy . Breakfast items are good and filling and good price . They have menu items of American , Italian, Salvadorian and Mexican and combinations . Its tucked away in a corner and hope more people come here to enjoy a different style and combinations of food . They also serve breakfast all day . The atmosphere is a very neighborly atmosphere. We had breakfast and also took some lunch and soup to go . Will visit again .“
“We started with calamari fritti. The two sauces that came with it were bland, and some of the calamari was tough. We'll try something else next time. Our main courses were tasty as well as large sized, and we ended up taking home about half of the pasta trio, half of the pepperoni and mushroom pizza, and half of the baked penne bolognese. One of us was hungry enough to finish his entire shrimp pomodoro. Three of us had saved enough room to polish off a tiramisu. Service was attentive and helpful. An enjoyable evening; we'll be happy to return soon.“
“Two words: WATSONVILLE APPLE. That's all you need to know. It's one of the tastiest pizzas you can find around here. It's better than round table and even yummier and more generous portion wise than Amici's. (I'm not going to even mention Dominos or Little Caesar's or any of that other crap). Incase you're wondering what's on this magical pizza it's: Green Apple Slices, Pepperoni, Sausage, Bacon, Green Onions, Gorgonzola, Olive Oil, & Garlic. I'm telling you... it's heavenly. You can easily pick it up or get it delivered hot and fresh and it's ALWAYS great. Get da pizza guys.“
“It's always a pleasure dining at Vespucci! Not only is the food amazing and delicious, Francesco and Manuela are just as wonderful! We do not get to dine there as often since we live in the East Bay, but anytime we have, they are always so warm and welcoming and very invested in building an amazing relationship with us and getting to know us.“
