“Fantastic!! the best meal we have eaten in Santa Barbarain a very long time. We are already going back next week. The service was top-notch too. She went over everything about the restaurant and menu and could not have been more attentive.“
“This will be our second time having lunch at the Stone House. The menu was about the same. As usual the food was outstanding. Fresh ingredients make all the difference. The waitstaff was attentive without being overbearing. Outstanding in every way.“
“The owner also owns Oku, down by the waterfront on Cabrillo Blvd. So the dishes here have an Asian fusion theme. Think Nobu. We ate outside on the patio so it wasn't as noisy, it can be packed inside and noisy and too close. Tip- eat outside on the patio Tip- order the Asian fusion dishes with ginger and sesame dressings. Enjoy!“
“Must swing by if in the area. Their tri-tip sandwich is a game-changer, especially after a nice jog with those breathtaking lake and mountain views.Pro tips: grab some chips, crush them up, and sprinkle them over your sandwich for an extra crunch that’ll take it to the next level. You won’t regret it!“
“This place takes you back to a different time, it's old school feel, the lighting the decor it was delightful to be sitting there. No show/or entertainment but with the excellent customer service and the music in the background it felt like an experience. Not to mention... the food! Delicious , the drinks tasty, classic, fresh! Very nice place.“
“Without a doubt, the most elegant restaurant in Santa Barbara. From the time you walk in the staff makes you feel like you are the most important person in the restaurant. The food is out of this world and we were able to just enjoy it at our leisure. So wonderful!“
“Local Organic Flavorful food. Clean Fresh Interior + exterior seating. Order at counter - line moves quickly when they are busy.Easy parking in back. Sweet shops to saunter and enjoy pre or post meal. Many great things about this place and easy to give if 5 stars. There is something for everyone; we especially love the flavorful all plant based options. Their lemony chickpea sandwich is excellent.I spoke to the lovely owner Dominic who advised why they don't have teapots or decaf - as not many are ordered and limited space. Am so grateful he had listened to our inquiries and took the time to give us feedback. The dessert look great it'd be really nice if they had a vegan option. They are considering it.This is one of new favorite spots. Sweet service. Excellent food. Order at counter and find nice indoor or outdoor with shade seats.Sounds like they use fresh local organic ingredients as much as possible. Dominic for your butter and eggs, love to know the source.will be back and update this again. Thank you Dominic and team. What a great addition to SBA“
“The yellowtail fish special was one of the best fish dishes I have ever had at a Santa Barbara restaurant, and I've lived here for 40 years. Super tender and very flavorful sauce on top of couscous. Stella Mare should put this dish on the regular menu, not just a special for the evening. “
“Great Burger with lots of grilled carmelized onions. Salmon was superb. Josh and his crew do an excellant job as I refer many guests to this establishment from my local hotel. Victor Evarone Managing Partner Cabrillo Inn at the Beach Oceanfront "East Beach" Santa Barbara CA“
“It was my first time visiting Boathouse, but it definitely won’t be my last. I showed up with a large group of friends for breakfast. The staff was very accommodating. They were friendly, efficient, and professional. And the ocean view was spectacular. Eating here was a great way to start the day.“
“Hands-down, the best late night food in Santa Barbara. They have a ton of options and very unique flavors that make it super fun especially when you’re buzzed. Anytime I get off work late this is my go to spot. Nam Toc Burrito and the fried rice are the best things in my opinion. They do comedy nights live music. It’s seriously such a good vibe. Enjoy !“
“Pastrami is in the name of the restaurant so I am getting pastrami. My Pastrami & Cheese sandwich was good. It comes with pastrami, two cheese, tomatoes and onions on sourdough. It wouldn't have hurt my feelings if there was a tad more pastrami but the flavor was there. It is a nice sandwich. The Italian (salami, ham, and provolone) and the Turkey and Provolone were also very nice sandwiches. Everything was super fresh.Special note: the side of potato salad (ordered separately) was excellent. If you like potato salad, give this a try.Good sandwiches!“
“It is a beautiful, classy restaurant. Napkins freshly pressed and folded. The servers are well-trained and attentive. We had the pre-fixed menu, and the food was absolutely delicious. We would love to try the tasting menu next time when we visit SB.“
“Had breakfast at Chads and it was great. Do you know you have found a great spot when: 1 - it’s Friday in the off season, and 2- there’s still a line to get in. Had scrambled eggs and pancakes. Eggs were done perfectly. Pancakes were light and fluffy with just a touch of sweet. The Bloody Mary was almost a meal in itself (see the photo for the garnish). It was seasoned just right (not super hot) and the glass was rimmed with salt. And ask you waitress/waiter what kind of alcohol it’s made with (not giving away the secret here!!). Finally - enjoy the warm mini muffins with butter that everyone gets.“
“I hosted 26 people here for a 3 course sit down dinner for a personal celebration and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. We had our own room upstairs toward the back, which felt cozy and private but not too closed in. Staff were extremely professional and very attentive and flexible with the timing of the greeting/dining portions of the evening. They gave us an abbreviated menu that still allowed a choice of 5-6 appetizers, 5-6 main plates, and 2 desserts. Everyone loved their food. I will hold another event here for sure.“
“Great place to grab large portion for lunch if you are in the Milpas area. We would have liked the chicken more crispy, maybe it was not roasted enough? The portions are big! I love the inside atmosphere and deco. The donuts are the best in Santa Barbara.“
“Fun and lively restaurant with killer west coast Cajun cuisine. I was lucky enough to be in while Louisiana coastal red snapper was available… blackened to perfection and oh so buttery. Everyone else at the table was pleased with their meals. The full restaurant rendition of What a Wonderful World was charming followed with a cheers from the staff. The magician was fun too!“
“It can be busy, but that’s what happens when you’re the best at what you do. It can give off the impression as chaotic, but that’s just at the lunch or dinner rushes. I’ve been here 10+ times in the last 6 or so years and every time I went every employee I witnessed or interacted with conducted themselves with such professionalism. All of them always know what they’re supposed to be doing and do it well. I half expected them to drive me home and tuck me in and with the way they treated me, they might have obliged had I asked. Keep up the good work and give the pillars of this restaurant a raise/bonus.“
“Awesome delicious food! Gluten free options galore & gluten free pancakes! The build your own hashbrowns, holy goodness! The manager Kevin is super sweet & knowledgeable about celiac accommodations. Did I mention the hollandaise is gluten free too? ?Dietary restrictions: Gluten free goodness & pancakes!“
“Fantastic Breakfast Burritos and Baja Fish Tacos!!!Breakfast Burrito: Eggs, Tater Tots, Sausage or Bacon, Cheese. Grab some Cholula packets and hit the water! Walk the breakwater or around the harbor.Baja Fish Tacos amongst the best in Santa Barbara. Very well done, Tie breakers: pickled cabbage, queso fresco! delish.Bring your dog too!“
“I had the sesame crusted salmon with wasabi sauce and rice noodles. It is so good, I get it every time! My husband had the meatloaf with sautéed mushrooms and our friend had the filet mignon cooked perfectly. He said the veggies were very good also. For dessert, we had the Louis Bananas Foster and the Key Lime Pie. Both very good!“
“First time at Finney’s. Got there around 8 pm on a Friday in the off season and the place was full. Had a nice vibe. Six of us sat at the beer for dinner. Had two of their craft beers - a pale ale and a west coast IPA. Both were very well made. I had blackened Ahi tuna on a broc roll with a wasabi aoli/relish. The tuna was done perfectly. Finney’s is worth a try.“
“Exceptional service. A true historical landmark in downtown Santa Barbara. The menu says stiffest drinks in town. No joke. I personally recommend the rib eye medium rare. Done old school low and slow with salt and pepper crust and that's it. Why mess up a good thing? Get a huge slab with some taters and veggies it comes with au jus and have a double scotch. Probably the best slab of red meat on State St. Can get busy good idea to call at peak times.Vegetarian options: Great Salad selection and plenty of vegetable dishes. They're happy to customize.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide entrance and flat. Very accommodating staff.“
“One of the best, most relaxing and delicious places I’ve been to. Visiting in Santa Barbara and went to Leadbetter beach to unwind. Got a little hungry and shoreline cafe was perfectly right next to us on the beach. We got the nachos to share with carne asada added. At first it seemed a bit pricey but my oh my was the portion size and taste worth it. Meat was cooked perfectly, chips were delicious, and to top it all it was a mountain of nachos. Next time I visit I will make sure to come again to subside my nacho cravings! Service was great, two people catered to our needs with quick service and the beach views from the patio were spectacular. I highly recommend it!“
“Excellent Funk Zone Burger! You can tell that quality ingredients are used as one would expect from this well-known Santa Barbara family. Burger was cooked perfectly with tasty cheddar, served on a toasted brioche bun . Also had fries and a beer. Nice relaxed place to get a burger. I’ve purchased (excellent) meat from their butcher shop, this was my first time eating at the restaurant in this location. I’ll definitely return.Support small business, shop local!“
“Not all “Sam’s to go” are treated equally nor are they owned by the same person thank God. This location is amazing— the Veggie delight was amazing and the owners are so sweet. Definitely going to make this my new lunch spot.Avoid the location on Milpas— the owner is insane and their quality is awful.“
“it's a small place for a small group of performers, but that's the worst I can say about it. there is a small stage at one end - maybe 10 to 15 - and great music whenever they choose to perform. The space is long and narrow - the back half is pretty quiet. the whole place is on the end floor...enjoy!“
“I sent an email for the afternoon tea a week before the event. I didn’t get a reply so I called. I was told sorry we are sold out , when I told her I had sent an email she honored the reservation and I went with my granddaughter and was sat by a closed door kinda weird but they were nice. The food was average the scones were not tasty , hard, cold … the sandwiches average anyway , it wasn’t great but it wasn’t terrible“
“BEST BURGER WITH GRILLED ONIONS IN THE WORLD !Refer my guests to this restaurant daily and always get Many THANK YOU'S as they are so glad to have found such a great eatery with a beautiful atmosphere and friendly servers.VictorCabrillo Inn at the BeachOceanfront "East Beach"Santa Barbara, CA“
“An absolutely delicious lunch here with a vast menu from salads, to burgers. Portions are generous and everything is so tasty. I had a salmon salad and ordered the appetizer of chick peas. The chick peas were a touch salty on its own but made a great topping to my salad. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the salad was hearty. The staff are really friendly and the ambiance is great. Spacious, open dining both indoor and outdoor, great selection of alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and quick service.“
“One of my favorite places to eat in Santa Barbara. The food is always good. I have had salads, appetizers, and sandwiches and each have been wonderful. This time I had the blackened salmon sandwich with a side salad instead of fries. There was a nice, large, well seasoned piece of salmon in the sandwich. The sauce on the salmon was perfect, not overpowering. Delicious! We went on St. Patrick's Day weekend and were treated to an Irish dance group performance. Very fun!Kid-friendliness: They have a small kids' menu of penne and Parmesan, a burger, or a hot dog.“
“If you want to go back more than a few decades and have a great traditional cocktail and a meal that includes a relish tray and soup and salad along with an entree accompanied by a baked potato and vegetables, this is the place. You won't be disappointed.“
“Really enjoyed a quick lunch with my friend here- friendly service, great food and relaxing atmosphere!Their brioche bun is always amazing & My usual favorite is the California club. I decided to try the bacon and egg burger for the first time and loved it- The fries were also super fresh!“
“Easily one of Santa Barbara's coolest spots. New development is one thing, but redesigning an existing building is what will let our city retain its character. The Waterline is one of those buildings - and it's such a site to see. The developer successfully took its former shell and transformed it into a total work of art. Talk about giving a space a new lease on life. This venue is very large, ultra-modern, and still manages to offer the character and charm of its former glory. Everywhere you turn, there's something neat to be seen. The space is home to a small eatery, a winery, two brewhouses, a boutique, and a variety of hidden office suites. There are two well-designed side patios which may be enjoyed by patrons from all walks. The company I work for rents the space for their annual holiday party and it is always such a hit. It's large, well-lit, and just plain cool. Santa Barbara needs more of this sort of redevelopment.“
“What a great neighborhood gem. Great beer selection, best buffalo cauliflower in SB, kids loved the chicken tenders, and surprisingly great pizza. Iced tea was obviously fresh brewed. Shirley temples and Roy Rodgers for the kids. Only small caveat is they charge 50¢ per small tin of ranch.Vegetarian options: Buffalo cauliflower is great. Pretzel was very good. Veggie burger option.Parking: Parking out front is hard to find but plenty of spots on adjacent side streetsKid-friendliness: Good kids menu and good pizzas. Definitely kid friendly.“
“Lovely dinner with friends. Greeted by the charming host and seated right away. Calamari's), oak bakery bread (little pricy) and fried green tomatoes (delicious). Steaks were tasty as was the sea bass. We had brought two bottles of wine but host told us they comp the corkage one one if we buy a bottle so we ordered a delicious S. African Sauvignon Blanc! It was lively and full but we could still hear each other and our server Leona was excellent and personable.“
“Came here for brunch while in town for a wedding, and everything was delightful. We chose to share the hangover and the salmon Benedict and while both were delicious, the same, and Benedict was the unanimous winner. Our server Riley was so friendly and attentive. We will be back!“
“The first time here and definitely not the last. The wait staff were fantastic. Thank you Hudson for looking after us.The calamari were cooked to perfection. Slices of calamari steak not rings like most places. The Ahi Pokie stack was really good with a corn and pineapple base. The view was the topping. Watching the dolphins swim by was simply stunning. All finished off with hot towels for our hands.I will be back soon.“
“I like them and their food. Their people were friendly. I wish they would have sat me at one of the three empty booths but they said they were taken. Probably just my party was too small but nbd. Their rules are their rooks right. Get the Mac and cheese balls!“
“we stopped here on our way to paso robles. the food was good I don't have any negative to say customer service was good and prices. if ever I'm in the area I will definitely stop by again. we ordered French toast and chilaquiles. the total was close to 50 with 2 “
“Nice place to sit and enjoy your food. Recommended to visit during evening hours where you can enjoy live music(weekends) and lake view. Have limited menu option but the food is very good. They haveeal.option for kids also. Wonderful place to spend time with your friends and family. #Happymotoring #enjoylife.“
“Had Sunday brunch with family and friends, it was delicious.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free is an option.Parking: La Cumbre plaza has a massive parking lotKid-friendliness: Family friendly and a dog friendly patioWheelchair accessibility: Fully ADA compliant.“
“2nd time here this round was a breakfast santa barbara scramble was the option today... the fruit and english muffin was great the egg scramble part was missing something I just can't put my finger on it.. overall, of course I'll be “
“BEST breakfast and lunch in SB!! Great location, excellent service and truly amazing food. We go there every time we are in SB and it is a regular thing for my family. Everything on the breakfast menu is crave worthy and good, strong coffee. My dad swears the French dip is the best sandwich in town. It is well worth your time if you are hungry for excellent food at a great price. Mulligans should be on the top of your must try list.“
“Had breakfast here twice during our five-night stay. Food was delicious! Highly recommend the french toast!! Our server, Alex, was delightful. She was very pleasant, friendly, and made the absolute best latte -- better than most baristas in most coffee shops!“
“Solid food, great space and friendly service. I feel bad for giving 3 stars for service since the waiter was so nice. Just seemed like he forgot about us and had to wait for a long time for main food to come out. We would definitely go back again.“
