“We stopped here for late afternoon tea and snacks while strolling on State street. The tea was piping hot and aromatic, exactly as I would want on a rainy day. We ordered samosas and chicken momos for snacks and both were freshly made, steaming and excellent. Service was quick and friendly and the restaurant is decorated and cozy.“
“In my opinion you get a better value if your come for lunch rather than dinner. Not only you get less food and less attention from your server at dinner time on a Friday night, but because there are more people it is so noisy it is hard to have a conversation with your companion. On the other hand, the past 3 or 4 times we came for lunch (with our 3 and 6 year olds) we had full attention from the server, food was plenty (for example, an entry included rice as opposed to the same food at dinner time) and it was quiet, few customers at that time.“
“Wow! Food and service on point, would definitely be ordering again.I kinda knew right off the bat that this place was the real deal, when I saw a lot of Indians eating there as well as people waiting outside to be seated. Waiting time was about 15 minutes so not too bad. After eating all that delicious food I wouldn't mind waiting an hour if I needed to. Oh.. do check out their wine list, they have some really good local California wines.“
“This is an absolute gem. It absolutely exceeded my expectations in terms by a long shot. I’ve spent time in India and it is so rare that you find extremely authentic food in the US. Everything out of the tandoor is phenomenal - naan, chicken, etc. The South Indian and Sri Lankan specialties are fantastic. All the basics were really good as well like samosa and daal. Can’t recommend highly enough.“
“So glad this was the first place I tried in Santa barbara, the korma curry with paneer was fantastic, very creamy and flavorful with bits of a dried fruit that paired incredibly well with the curry. The service is very friendly and attentive, and the chai tea is delicious. Coming back again before we leave as it's that good.“
