Weird experience. Walked in and noticed a lot of unhappy faces at the hostess station. Ordered a coke and went to wash my hands. Bathroom smells like piss and is filthy. No towels. Sat down and sipped my drink. There was a lot of screaming coming from the tatami room.??? Then I understood why the solemn mood. There were a bunch of college freshmen yelling and arguing about nonsense. Check please!

This is my special Mommy-daughter-date place. The sushi rolls are delicious. Actually anything we ever tried was great. Plus the service is very accommodating and friendly. Love it ???

The sushi was really really bad. There were two fruit flies on it and it was fishy and not fresh at all. We spent $50 and ate less than half our meals.

Service slow, food mediocre at best. The menu is extensive but hard to read Flavorless sushi. Probably not fresh since I got sick. Hard pass.

This is a nice traditional Japanese restaurant located at the high traffic corner of las positas and state. There is ample parking in their free lot. The food is decent. I usually just get sushi when I go. I prefer the shrimp tempura and the Hawaiian roll. One cool aspect is having dinner in one of the rooms. They are better than some of the other rolls I've tried. All in all I think there are better sushi options in town. This one is just ok. I love sushi, but I don't come here very often.

Had a delicious Birthday dinner here with a unagi/crab avo roll and fried green tea ice cream! My two buddies joined me in kampai's with warm saki. Fabulous service and lots of fresh seafood. Yum!

We ordered to go, the chicken katsu, teriyaki top sirloin and the tear roll. Which has eel, gobo, tempura crunch inside and topped with tuna, salmon, avocado with spicy & eel sauce.Everyone really enjoyed their choices. The katsu was fried perfectly, the steak was grilled to med rare as i requested and the tear roll was fresh. If we lived in the neighborhood, this would be one of our favorite restaurants.

If you like fruit flies this is the place for you! Absolutely disgusting. They were literally everywhere. My husband and I were totally grossed out and we will never come back. I don't know how the health department hasn't shut them down already.

The service was very good, and we felt well-attended to. The atmosphere was comfortable and pleasant. The first items served were a small salad and a bowl of miso soup. They were both very tasty and were satisfying. The tempura is lightly breaded, not greasy and very diverse with vegetables and shrimp. The dipping sauce was so tasty we drizzled a little on our rice.I had to take half my food home as the serving was so big.An overall enjoyable experience.

The food was just alright, sushi was fine but the ten zaru's soba wasn't the usual soba noodle, it was a bit slimier and didn't have the right texture.I give this place a bad rating because there were flies galore in there. Flies in the entrance where you wait, flies in the main dining area, flies in the "tatami" rooms. I wouldn't even really call them "tatami" rooms because the rooms had hardwood floors. Not very comfortable, and quite dimly lit (made it harder to swat the flies away from our food). There are other better places for sushi in SB...
