Renaud's is fantastic. The breakfast menu there is simple but perfect. They have high quality but simple options. The coffee is also great. If it's nice out, the front patio has a great vibe but they also have tables inside. You order through a code at the table or at the counter so they're quick and efficient.

One of my favorite places for breakfast. Great omelets and sandwiches. Best place for eclairs and almond croissants. Nice ambiance with a view to Arlington Theatre and cute shops and art galleries around.

Absolutely divine! The sticky bun at Renaud's Patisserie is a melt-in-your-mouth delight. The pastry is perfectly flaky, and the caramelized with almonds topping adds just the right amount of sweetness. Each bite is a heavenly experience. I could easily devour a dozen in one sitting. Highly recommend treating yourself to this indulgent treat!

Okay, hands-down best croissants in SB. Yes, there are some other good bakeries, patisseries, and the like in town, but Renaud's has them beat. I've been eating here for years and I take all my out-of-town visitors for breakfast. It's just that good! For breakfast, get a croissant that matches your mood: plain, chocolate, or almond and coffee/tea/latte. I'm a big coffee drinker and appreciate the selection of self-serve drip options when dining in. Other great food options are the fried egg breakfast sandwich and the brioche french toast. But don't skip the croissant! They also make fantastic cakes. Perfect for birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, and really any special occasion. My favorite is the hazelnut bomb. Tastes like chocolate, and Nutella, and hazelnuts all blended and balanced together. There can often be a line and it's tough to grab a table at times. Hang in there, it's worth it. When the weather is nice there is outdoor seating.

Renaud's is our go to croissant place. We like all three options which are chocolate, almond, and regular butter croissant. If you eat there, a must have is the jam to go with the croissant and a latte. The almond croissant is by far the best in town, if not in Southern California and be prepared because it can sell out. This location is easy to get to off upper State street and has free parking. You can order at an automatic ordering station or with staff. Seating is inside and outside, but not designed for large groups of people. I'd definitely recommend for friends!

Place seemed cute but the customer service was not it. We arrived at 3:12 and the worker was so rude. They close at 4 and I think that's quite enough time for us to come and sit down for a bit with a drink and a pastry. It seemed like she didn't want us here and started putting tables away at 3:20 mins you there were still customers sitting outside. Not to mention it didn't feel welcoming when we walked in the two girls made eye contact with me twice and did not say hello or welcome or even give a smile. It just was not welcoming whatsoever. I've worked in customer service before and I get when someone is having an off day or if a customer is rude I personally don't mind workers giving attitude back but when I walk in as a customer and have not once given any attitude or been rude or condescending it's a little arming to get that from the workers. I will not be coming here again.

I ordered a Fried egg sandwich with salad. Salad was brown and old. Ordered a cappuccino, ate my sandwich and cappuccino was still not ready even though I ordered it with my meal. Place was not busy. Cashiers not friendly.

The bread is just as good as in France and breakfast was tasty and well presented.

Wow.....what can't we say about this place that doesn't include the word WOW!!!! We stopped by this morning to have coffee and a pastry to start our day. There were 4 of us all together. Aside from coffee, we had the quiche Lorraine, which was just unbelievable!! The chocolate and almond croissants that were perfect. We had the almond croissant warmed up and it was beyond delicious!!!! We will definitely be stopping by again the next time we are in town.

Beware coffee so hot I had blisters. I asked if a flat whte there was overly hot and assured it was not. I've burnt my tongue before but never my lip and tongue. Manager said I was too sensitive. Beware for your own safety.

Came by to grab some fresh bread; I had a dog with me so instead of bringing him inside I sat at a table outside and ordered and paid for 2 baguettes from the QR code menu on the table (“order online and we bring it to your table”). After waiting 15 minutes I had to go in and ask about the order - it had evidently been ignored and no one had even tried to bring it out to the table even though it was a simple order and no prep work would’ve been required (the baguettes were all sitting in a basket on the counter already). I’d understand if it had been busier with lots of orders ahead of me or a made-to-order item but the ball was just completely dropped with no acknowledgement.
