Wish I could Rate 4.5 because they are so close. 5 stars for French ambiance, ample indoor/outdoor seating, and attentive friendly staff. Solid croissants and other pastries. Coffee satisfies. Quiche and breakfast sandwiches delicious. Had to knock off points for a service issue- didn't get my coffee until after our food was delivered and counter ordering was slow. Definitely try this place if craving a European experience, but not if you're in a hurry.

Renaud's is my go to for their desserts, but we decided to go have breakfast. Beautiful patio and the food was so good. It's what you would expect from one of Santa Barbara's premier bakeries. Fresh bread, high quality ingredients and homemade sauces!! Deelicious! What a great way to start the weekend!

This review is only about the pastry and not the small restaurant itself. We walked by the display of baked goods and things looked absolutely delicious, so we purchased two almond croissants and a raspberry rugelach and a chocolate rugelach to take home. Beyond disappointing. The almond croissants had almost no flavor and way too much butter. They were pasty rather than flaky. We shared one ($7 each mind you) and threw the other away. The raspberry rugalach and the chocolate one almost tasted the same and they were greasy. Definitely not going back.

Great spot anytime but especially for brunch. Fantastic pastries and omelettes. Sometimes the line can get long but it's worth the wait.

I love their Peach mint tea!!! Grilled vegetable sandwich was also good!

I stumbled across the place by coincidence. Had an omlette with salad and a capuccino for beakfast. I found it very delicious. Coffee was great too. Did not try the bakery stuff. But it looked delicious and authenticly french.

Incredible brunch/lunch food! Ham, cheese, and egg on croissant melts in your mouth! Egg, tomato, mushroom, cheese, and egg on thickly sliced sourdough is hearty and tasty. Side potatoes are perfectly soft inside with just the right texture skins outside. Seasoned with garlic or something. Outdoor patio seating is great for some sun.

Unfortunately not impressed. Super outdated, croissant was sort of like bread. Breakfast potatoes are really good. Service was horrible, it's almost as if they didn't want my business or I was an inconvenience. The cakes are good, exotic is tasty, but the presentation is an eye sore. Seems like expanding made renauds more grocery store quality. There are better artisan bakeries in town that truly put their heart into what they do.

This place is incredible. Absolutely love their food!! Their sandwiches and quiche and bread, Some of the food was the best I've had!! I think it was a croque de madam- that was incredibly good!!

Great spot for breakfast and the prices were pretty reasonable. The quiche was smooth and creamy with a crispy crust. But I believe Renaud's is known for pastries. The wife spent about $50 on cookies and baked goods. Everything we tasted was great.

10/10 for the Quiche Lorraine, almond croissant and vanilla latte. Croissant crunchy on outside, opening up into a Willy Wonka world if that world was made of almonds and soft pastry. The quiche melts in your mouth like your wildest fluffy dream. Lots of people but the line went fast and there are lots of outdoor tables with a view of the mountains (looking over a parking lot, but your not likely to find a nicer one and you can always face the other way and tilt the camera up to crop out the cars and pretend you are rich). Renaud's delivers!

Really chill place to come have breakfast. The croissants are so good. They come to you so warm and crispy and flakey. I can't imagine stopping by here without getting at least one.

We are here for the first time yesterday. It was so good we returned for another go today. The chocolate croissants, lattes, Eggs Florentine, Quiche Lorraine and the amazing potato's they serve on the side...you truly can't go wrong no matter what you order. The employees are friendly, thorough, the place isn't overrun but keeps a steady stream of customers and there's plenty of seating. And surprisingly enough, my partner and I ordered breakfast for two plus pastries and coffee and it was all under $50. Unheard of nowadays especially with such quality food. Will definitely return soon!

i had passed by this little cafe/bakery quite a few times on trips to Gelsons but didn't end up ever going in until this morning. i also typically don't eat breakfast but figured i'd give this restaurant a go since it looked quaint and yummy. i was so please with the food and atmosphere of this place! i got the fried egg sand-which and it was amazing!! i will 100% be back here in the future. they also have an incredible selection of in-restaurant baked goods that look amazing as well.
