They take way to long to bring out the food. We order at 1:11. We get the appetizers at 1:50. My clam chowder comes cold, they then bring me another lukewarm/cold clam chowder....I ate it screw it im hungry. Ordered main courses at 1:50 and it's now 2:30 without the courses. S*** we just wanted to come eat and leave not wait 1+ hour for food. They aren't even busy!!!!!!!! I don't get how your not busy and can take this long for food? We are leaving. We ate appetizers and they can't bring out our food. A huge party of 20+ arrived after us and got all there food first????? Do not come here unless you want to be kept waiting for no reason. They ended up giving us the appetizers for free because of us wanting to leave after waiting an hour and not receiving out main courses. That is the only reason this review is at 4 stars and not 1.

This place is at a great location and looks so inviting. I ordered a lemonade and it took nearly 40 minutes just to get it. I added some pictures of the food we had chicken sandwich's and fish and chips. Had a chicken bone in one of the sandwich's. Drink took a while to get and I mean I good while to get drink. The food tasted decent, nothing great . Food took about and hour to get . Overall very slow and staff need help. You can't have one guy doing everything it's absurd. I don't think we will be back, I think slow at the beach is a better fit. But the server 5 stars, he seemed new to the place and was trying his best I respect the hustle on that but other then that 1 star.

I had no problems with our server as she was sweet but the biggest problem is the wait time for food. It took over 40 minutes to get our food and all we ordered was calamari and a tri tip sandwich to share. We were asked if we wanted the calamari before the meal and we said yes but it came out with our food and was cold. The tri tip sandwich was good but not worth the high price. I just don't think it's worth coming here and spending so much money on very basic cold meals.

Good location, super slow service it took close to two hours to get a salad and an entree of fish and chips. Came in right before their happy hour rush to try their crème brûlée and made sure to mention it when first ordering, even paid ahead of time to try and recover some lost time but ended up having to get dessert refunded because they were out when the order was finally put in. Overall an incredibly disappointing waste of time for underwhelming food and service.

Very reasonable price considering the location. And they have happy hour discounts. Server was friendly and attentive. Portion sizes are generous and food is pretty tasty! My favorite was the Brussel Sprouts. Also enjoyed the tuna poke, calamari, and Truffle fries. Fair warning if you are considering getting the crab dip. It's made with fake crabs, not the warm creamy cheesy dip made with real crabs. So I'd pass on that. So many other great options to choose from! Cell reception a bit if challenge at the restaurant and not sure if they have wifi.

Raspberry Bramble quite possibly the best drink I have ever had in my life! So refreshing and not overly sweet! Reese, our waiter was so on point, friendly, helpful and simply the best waiter! The view......amazing!

We ate here because their deck looked so inviting. But the food was not good at all. I ordered the Ahi sandwich and it was flavorless. I think part of the problem is that it wasn't seared, which is what I expected. The wine list is disappointing considering that the restaurant is in the middle of a great wine region. I just saw the same tired brands that I see on most wine lists these days

Laid back vibe, solid food, and a view. The Endless Summer, we'll, finally ended and seasoned restauranteur from Solvang came in to put a fresh coat on an old dog. The result is a BRIGHT and airy joint that feels like the old place sans free popcorn and jukebox. Pet friendly and with a better view than the uber popular Brophy's, SALTY scores. Daily Happy Hour from 3-6 with $2 off the usuals, live music, and the same two patios with distinctive feels. This bar has been my friend since I moved here so many moons again. But how does it stand up? The view is great so you know you're scoring big there. The menu has some bars like the Fried Chicken Sandwich $16 but you'll want to add then Buffalo sauce for another buck. The Fish & Chips $15 are three pieces and pretty filling despite a smaller portion than neighboring options. The Burger is fine at $14 and the Seafood Pasta $19 is a lot of food. Live music fills the inside with the North patio more of a family, quiet time while the South/beach side patio is louder and more fun even though the pool table is long gone. Who needs to shoot pool here anyway? I do miss the popcorn machine. Derives has always been very polite. Thank you! This location holds so many memories and luckily SALTY does a good job so I enjoy coming back

The first time i came here was right before i had my surgery on March 11th the service was great the male waiter was nice and respectful i had an important phone call with state farm representative. The waiter had put my food to not go bad and warmed it up for me truly gave me 5 star service:) We went back hoping to have this great service but at 7:30pm i forgot what day it was of last week or so the woman working night shift had said that only the bar was open. Online it says they close at 8pm im not sure whats going on or if workers are doing whatever they want but fyi if you go in hungry thinking you are going to have a good meal when only the bar is Open according to the woman who had said that to me:(

Perhaps the best location but worst restaurant in SB. Mediocre cocktails and frozen fish might be better than the artificial crab dip. Pretty decent maybe even a good deal of shrimp cocktail. Ideally they would add something local and at a higher price point. The current menu pricing doesn't allow for much improvement.

Love to come here and get a drink and appetizer! Best view in town! Staff is nice and accommodating. Can't say enough good things about the manager! Would definitely come here if I had friends in town for cocktails on the patio!

It was disappointing.. our second time here and same experience. We waited the food for one hour and the food was cold after that.. how’s that possible? The only plate we liked was the KD chicken sandwich. The place is nice with great views but good luck with the service! I recommend the bar inside for a drink..

soo disappointed by Saltys at the beach , we went there because we thought the upstairs bar would give us a nice view of the beach, it did but that’s all that restaurant offers.. it had bad service , inattentive waiter, the food was sooo bad ,nachos were only topped with ingredients on top layer , & no real taste, & the crab dip was a joke!, seriously imitation crab!! very disappointed & drinks were weak, . will never go there or recommend it to anyone ever!! wish i had read these other bad reviews first!!!!!

1st time here since new ownership and same deal as previous ownership, mediocre food at best. Really did not enjoy it.

Come for the view but not the food. We came to grab some drinks and a quick snack. 1-there's only 1 dessert on the menu, mid pie, and they didn't have any 2-homemade crab dip is just chopped up imitation crab meat tossed with mayo and seasoned--how is this a seafood restaurant with imitation crab meat? Save your energy and stomach for Brophy Bros and only stop in for drinks.
