Restaurantji's guide to Santa Paula's top Mexican dining experiences. Savor the city's best with dishes like Chips and Salsa, Carne Asada Burrito, Carnitas, and more.
“Burrito mojado with chile colorado very good you can also get chile Colorado plate with refried beans rice. Sopes are very good with your choice of meat. I also tried birria plate, very good but slightly different than eating birria queso tacos, birria with cheese it’s my preferred way to eat birria.Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian options like tacos, burritos and plates. But not sure how good those options are.“
“Well, this is by far the. Best carnitas around.... and I been trying a lots of places, the taste it's GREAT!!!! Very good prices!!! The service it's very fast and very nice people!!! “Great place to come and eat. It’s a hole in the wall that I’ve seen it before but since it’s so small I never decided to eat here. I’m glad I did the food was great and the chef himself is really nice and seems like a great guy that genuinely cares about making sure his customers are getting the best customer service and food.“
“We loved this place! Their wine list is surprisingly off the charts! They have a really good selection of entrees (we went for dinner). The staff were very friendly and on top of things, pouring the wine, clearing dishes , and filling waters. Great find!!“
“My husband and I went this Sunday Morning decided to try out this place for the first time and it was absolutely delightful the service was excellent. Very clean and colorful. I would recommend you the Vince's Huevos Rancheros and the Chile Poblano. They also have an open Bar but it was too early for us to try their cocktails. Will come back again next time. Thank you for your awesome service Capricho Staff“
“If you're looking for a quick stop for tacos etc, this is the place. Family owed and run with vetry nice staff. Good outside sitting areas. Indoor too.Vegetarian options: They have beans before refried in lard plus other vegan options.“
“Made a visit to La Casita after making a stop in Santa Paula today. Literally searched in Google maps and 3 minutes later I was there. Everything we got here was great! Reasonably priced, quality, authentic Mexican food! Would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again!“
“We discovered Covina 1912 on our day trip. We really enjoyed the food, the place is modern and light and service is wonderful. I especially liked the shrimp tostada, but the fish tacos and the chicken mole were also great. We over-ordered, so took the chicken mole home and it still tasted great heated up. We will definitely make this a regular stop on our next outings to Santa Paula and Ojai.“
