We wanted to try a new sushi place, this is going to be our new favorite! We tried the gyoza, Dragon Roll, Hamachi Lovers roll, and the Tropical Dream roll. Everything was delicious and very fresh (which is saying something since we went towards closing time on a Monday night). The service was very friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Great spot for date night!

Aji Sushi and Grill is a formal and informal (depending on your mood) Asian cuisine restaurant located on Mendocino Avenue in Santa Rosa. It is apart of the Mendocino Market Place which is a plaza area. There is handicapped parking as well as wheelchair accessibility to the restaurant.I think this place was a bit over priced, but their food was pretty good. I had ordered the unagi nigiri and my guest had the ramen. The unagi nigiri, which is barbecued fresh water eel, had a lot of flavor and melted in my mouth. I enjoyed their white rice. I loved the seaweed that came on the side, so crunchy and moist. The celery and yellow fruit was a nice touch. My guest had mentioned it wasn’t the best ramen he’s had, but it was pretty good. They do have vegetarian options like cucumber rolls and more. I loved how at the end of the meal when they gave you your check they also give you the little Asian yogurt drinks. So creamy and nice touch for the customers! They are definitely kid friendly as there are plenty of families that dine here.The servers there were attentive and polite.I loved their choice of decor. I had tried this restaurant around the holidays and they had a very simple yet sophisticated look to their choice of Christmas decorations.To the beautiful people of Sonoma County and visitors abroad I would definitely give Aji Sushi a try. It was good food, but one time may be enough. I wouldn’t come here frequently based on their prices.

The chicken katsu lunch special was tasty, as was the beef teriyaki bento box. The chicken was nicely cooked. The beef teriyaki was tasty. We also ordered the baby lobster roll, it was nice but overall the plate had a bit too much sauce resulting in it being a bit mushy in texture. The server was attentive and helpful. Overall it was a pleasant experience and we shall return.

Food and service was great but these bugs ruined the dining experience. Flew around our food and just hung out on the walls. Mentioned this to waiter and he just said " sorry" and walked away.

Another great meal at Aji. We decided to go get some dinner this last Friday at about 5:15/5:30. The restaurant was pretty empty when we first got there but it quickly filled up. The fish is always so fresh and each item has its distinct taste. The chirashi is such a great meal to share. The green salad was a little watery this time but the sunomono salad was fresh and crisp. The server was kind and mostly attentive. Besides the parking being horrible (which obviously isn't their fault) this place is amazing.
Excellent bento boxes and Donburi bowls. One of the best values for lunch. Always a treat with friendly service. Now there are donburi lunch specials!
